This is a great place to stay, the staff is wonderful from the front desk personnel Lizzet and Rafael, who remembered us from a year ago, to the cart drivers Israel, Alberto and Antonio, all do what ever they can to make your stay great.

"A tranquil place where the service is impeccable"
A beautiful place to relax and just unwind. Its very quiet, you don't see hardly any other guests. If you want to chat with other guests or want to perform karaoke or be entertained by dave the juggler whilst eating 'authentic' pasta then go to a resort full of kids down the road;) Seriously, the mayakoba is a place where you ask for ice and it arrives within ten minutes then the next night you don't need to ask as it is already there for you. you get my drift..... We dined in, dined out. With these resorts unless you have a car you are a captive, we hired a car to explore. its really recommended. The hire car is cheaper than an airport transfer go figure. Always make sure you get at least a breakfast deal included as its 50 bucks a head if you don't. Depending when you go its worth getting a villa with hot tub and heated pool. trust me, it makes the difference. So when you first arrive tell them to max the pool temp so when it rains you jump in that sucker and chill out. The whole place from the night turn downs to the choice of pillows before you arrive shouts comfort and it doesn't disappoint. Its simple, 5 days here or 3 weeks in a Thompson 'five' star, give me this anyday Oh, last thing, the wife is a celiac, lactose allergiac & veggy. These guys went out of their way to help plus the waiters knew what it meant

"Great hotel with wonderful staff"
We went on our honeymoon and it being a second marriage really wanted to have a relaxing and quiet vacation. We upgraded to Preferred Status and upgraded our room--- so worth the money. We were able to go the the Preferred Status Adults Only Pool which was quiet. The staff was really great! Polo, the waiter at the pool bar was awesome and Sara on the Event Staff was a delight. I have never been to a Now Resort and was very impressed!

"Beautiful Beach and Plantinum Category Required"
I stayed here for 10 days and I enjoyed my stay. I'm accustomed to travelling by myself and I liked the low key and tranquil setting of the resort. I upgraded to a villa, which includes the platinum category and more, and it was worth it - so I highly suggest it. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the resort as much as I did if I wasn't at this level, or at least platinum. Both categoeries have a private pool, but the private villa pool is very relaxing and very quiet. With the villa category, I had unlimited access to the a la carte restaurants, including same day reservations. The concierge service is amazing and the room service was pretty good. The resort is extremely clean. The gym has excellent equipment and the spa was very enjoyable. I purchased several services at the spa and enjoyed them all. The resort is large and spread out, I heard a lot of complaints about this but I enjoy walking so it wasn't an issue for me per se; however, if mobility is a concern, there are shuttles that can transport you to the different locations across the resort. The resort does spray for insects and cockroaches are around - so bring extra large garbage bags to put your suitcase in during your stay. This will prevent "friends" from making a home in your empty suitcase. Although I am particular on what I like and don't like, I'm very flexible and was satisfied with this resort. It's an excellent resort for families and couples.

"Very romantic, just a couple of snags"
The hotel is very close to the popular playa Mamitas and many wonderful restaurants, also just a block form 5th Avenue, where everything is. The only issues were the construction noise so early in the morning (and I know that's not on the hotel) and a gross bunch of hair that came up the drain in the tub. The rooftop pool is fantastic but the drinks from the bar are just ok.

We wanted to stay somewhere between Tulum and cancun airport and it fit our needs. Check in was easy. Leonardo was very nice. The room was nice and cool. My daughter loved the hammock on the veranda. They served us our complimentary breakfasts earlier than they open and it was an easy drive to the airport.

If you want to be oceanfront or even remotely close to the beach, do not choose the adults only section. It's an 8-10 minute walk from that section to the beach. We didn't choose that area but were given the "upgrade" upon arrival. We didn't realize the difference.
