Very old and outdated rooms with mold around the shower area in the bathroom at Beach Barceló. Careful, Barceló switches resort without telling you. We initially booked Colonial and were switched to Barceló beach instead. In my opinion the worst resort out of the group. Most people we met went to eat to colonial resort because of limited options at the Barceló Beach.

We loved the water and sand, pools were clean. Rooms were cleaned very good every day. Buffet staff is very nice especially breakfast hours. Reception not helpful at all with any questions. Mexico travel solutions transportation company is horrible we were waiting for our car 1h 20 min. And they charged me $140 extra.

Barceló Maya was AHMAZING! Huge, so much to do! The room was clean. A little on the small Side but we literally slept, dressed for the beach and breakfast, and showered in there-so no need for it to be bigger. The pools are awe inspiringly huge. The beach has sugary soft sand, the ocean is stunning! The food was good, always find something you’ll like. The a la cartes were great! Especially loved the Italian Trattoria and Kyoto! So well laid out! The bus was a great option if your legs are feeling tired! We lived it!
