The hotel is tucked away from the main route, so you wont see or hear the main street which is nice, but the side street smells like sewer.
The property and the rooms are clean and staff is very accomodating, but there were a few things I noticed that bothered me a bit. First, even with room AC set to 60F, the air never felt cold and the suite was slightly below room temperature the entire stay. When the tub in the suite was turned on, we could not get it to shut off so we had to call maintenence over. Speaking of tubs, my child suffered an arm injury because a fixture from the tub broke off and hit arm causing a bruise on his elbow. The hotel doctor came over within 10 minutes to look at my child, and maintenance fixed the tub issues while before the doctor left.
With regards to the pools, all were kept clean and the water temperature was nice. Most pool areas were about 3.5ft-5ft deep, with the water park being about a foot deep. Although the ocean looked nice, there was lots of kelp accumulated on the shore so you had to walk through that before going deeper. And what you dont see in the pictures is that he shore is filled with non-pointy rocks, so you have to walk slow and be careful not to fall along the shoreline otherwise you end up hurting yourself on the rocks.
Each restaurant is themed and cocktails were curated to the menu which was nice. Wait staff was great, specially Carlos, but there was a time or two (during rush hour) where I waited over 40mins for food.
