Great family resort to stay at. Good food and excellent service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend this for a family trip resort. The only downside if I were to choose one would be the beach was a tad bit rocky. Other than that we all really enjoyed our stay here. I’d recommend making reservations to which ever restaurant you really want to go to early on in the trip because they do get full very fast. 9.5/10

I loved the property but I had some concerns that I didn’t like. The dining areas are not air conditioned and really hot almost lost my appetite. The elevator stopped working and I have asthma. I asked for room decoration for my partners birthday and came back to 1 small piece of cake. I just wish it was better but I made the best of it. I also don’t like that I got stuck with a room I didn’t pay for due to the storm and was not given a partial refund or accommodated at all. Food during the storm was also not delivered and the ac was off the storm messed things up and the resort was supposed to compensate for that.

I came for four nights with my daughter. We stayed in the privilege section in a suite which was awesome. This resort hands-down has the best food I’ve ever ever ever had in Mexico at a resort. We rented a golf cart and went into the town, Porta adventurous. We had lunch and got massages. Perfect trip and would totally recommend this resort. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.

It would be nice if the restaurants would offer basic drinks early in the day. Bloody Mary's/Mimosas/tropical. 11 am is late for an all inclusive to begin serving. Venue's like the sports bar, where you can play pool, etc... should be open all day. Not necessarily with a full bar, but It would have been nice to spend some time playing the recreational games during the height of the sun from 12-3.

The stay at Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort was relaxing and amazing. My husband and I received a complimentary hydrotherapy service because of our booking package with Expedia which was nice. The resort was clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. There are several food options. Some of the restaurants require reservations, but it’s extremely difficult to get. We tried doing a reservations several times but the website wouldn’t allow it or there were never any time slots. That was disappointing. The restaurant Beloved was amazing! Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at this resort. What keeps us coming back is the staff and area. Love that you can rent golf carts to explore the completely gated community. There are so many authentic eateries and small bars where you can get to know the culture and it’s not expensive. The resort itself is small and offers a very clean beach. It’s extremely laid back and quiet, there isn’t a lot of things going on like the big resorts. The food is plentiful and there is a lot of variety. Rooms have been renovated and are more modern. Overall a good value.

Beautiful resort and friendly staff. Food at the restaurants a la carte and drinks were phenomenal. Buffet was good only for breakfast. Bloved restaurant was our favourite. Beach was beautiful except not what we expected. Rocky and had to wear water shoes. Very family friendly resort . Very clean highly recommended for family vacation with kids. Very safe relaxing quiet and good vibes. Loved the shows every night. Thank you Mexico 🇲🇽 for the memories until next time✌️♥️

Where to begin…. We checked in on Tuesday 6/25 only for it to take roughly 1 1/2 hours to check in and get to our room. I should have known from the wait time to check in it was going to spiral down hill from there. We transferred rooms 3 times. For a trip that cost $3K you’d expect better service, better rooms, better quality of food… Room 1- AC leaking, fan broken, no ocean view what we paid for, the room needed a full overhaul. Room 2- AC leaking, fan half working, TV broken, at least in this one we had the view of the ocean… however when the storm hit you felt every inch of the wind hitting your door and windows like it was going to bust wide open. Water seeped through the patio door, it was a disaster. Room 3- the room we should have got as advertised in the price and the photos. The suite! Leaps and bounds far better than the previous 2 rooms, only draw back is we didn’t have an ocean view, no biggie as the room was spa like, marble bathroom, king bed, jacuzzi on the balcony everything you’d expect. Food- god awful! Coming from someone who’s been in the industry for 15 years, the quality, the flavor, the seasoning was completely lacking. You’d expect some decency from a 4 star rated hotel. You have to walk to the marina if you wanted any authentic. Room service was awful, 5 selections complete trash. Overall the stay was mediocre at best. Will not book here again… learning experience, book elsewhere if your looking for quality and all inclusive!
