Borders on posh. Very clean! Great price. Had a taxi called for us and he was there 15 minutes early because that is what Suites Gaby requests. Staff we met was more than curteous and helpful to "gringos".
"Value for money hotel near the main ADO Bus Depot"
Being 3 minutes walk from the ADO Bus depot and 2 minutes walk from a well used City square where you can mix with locals, get local food, buy trinkets etc was my reason for booking this hotel. It did not disappoint. Arriving at 8.00am after an all night bus trip from Guatemala the hotel gave me a 7 hour early book in at no extra charge.
The room was adjoining the swimming pool and very quiet. Early morning wake up calls, taxis etc were organised without hassles. Local busses were outside the main door and $1.50 got me to any hotel in the Hotel District.
Also known as El Centro, Cancun Downtown is where locals live and shop. Plaza las Americas is an American-style shopping center with large department stores and small specialty shops. Mercado Veintiocho (Market 28), an open-air flea market, is an alternative to the chain shops. Tourists often venture into area supermarkets for souvenirs and liquor. Plaza de Toros features weekly bullfighting.
