This is my fourth stay at a RIU resort & unfortunately, it was my worst experience at one. One of the biggest complaints is that there is no room service and there are also very limited times for food: there’s no food available from 5 to 6 PM or after 10 PM, other than a very small selection of old food that’s in the sports bar. so that was very inconvenient especially if you are drinking late. The biggest complaint of the trip was the noisiness of the room. It’s almost as if the walls are paper thin. We were woken up every morning by the sound of what sounded like furniture being dragged across the room above us. However I think it was really just room service going in and out, but because the sound of the doors opening drags on the ground, it sounds really loud for everyone else around. Our neighbors were also very loud one night doing adult activities… and it was so incredibly loud. I spoke to the front desk and they kept saying they would talk to the guests/room service, but nothing changed. So if you’re looking for somewhere to get rest, relaxation, and to sleep in, this is not the place for you. It’s also a bit weird because when we checked in, they asked if we were celebrating anything special & we said yes that we were celebrating our recent engagement. However, nothing happened during the stay & nothing indicated that there was any reason for them to ask that. During checkout, they said that they just ask just to ask, that they don’t do anything. Pass on this RIU.
