"We had a wonderful stay at AVA Resort Cancun. We arrived a few days early to enjoy the resort as a family before a company convention, and both experiences were amazing. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and made it easy to relax and recharge. Room service was excellent—fast, reliable, and consistently delicious. The pool was a standout feature: the temperature was perfect, and there were so many fun activities throughout the day. Our family especially loved the floating obstacle course—it was such a fun and unique experience. We also enjoyed kayaking and spending time together at the F1 simulator and arcade, which our son absolutely loved. I especially want to highlight the Ava Kids Club, as they truly made our experience so much easier. Our 6-year-old is naturally shy and usually hesitant in new environments, but the staff made him feel so welcome that he wanted to go back every single day. They were incredibly attentive and engaging, and we really appreciated how safe and secure the facility is. It gave us complete peace of mind to enjoy time as a couple and attend company events child-free. Honestly, we would come back to this resort for this reason alone. A special thank you to Andrea, Ivon, Grecia, Anne, Rebe, Yadi, and Laura—you all work so hard and are amazing with the kids. Thank you for making our son feel comfortable and safe. If I had one small criticism, it would be that there isn’t much of a beach, but the pool made up for it."

"The entire place is very clean. From the rooms to the restaurants, bars and shared restrooms were all super clean. Beach view from our balcony (16th floor) and from poolside was awesome. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. My wife and I stayed there for a week for our honeymoon and their services was exceptional. Special thank you to our bartenders De Dios and Jonathan along with one of our servers Edgar Abigail for going above and beyond to make my wife and I feel and share the special moments at Secrets."

"The food here was not the greatest but was edible. We ended up going out to eat at least once a day. The bar was great - not watered down as many say. The staff was the best and friendliest we have ever encountered in our travels - and it was every single employee not just a couple. The entertainment we found was lacking. We could hear entertainment at neighboring resorts and you could hear the guests and they were having a great time. And not nonstop partying fun. But here it was mediocre."

"Would not recommend. The rooms were extremely outdated. Paint was flaking off walls, outlets and light switches clearly hadn’t been cleaned long enough for dirt to buildup around them. The 4th floor smelled like dirty mop water for the entire trip. The sink wouldn’t drain properly. The food was possibly the worst I’ve had. Would definitely spend the extra 1k to go to a very nice all inclusive. "
