The hotel staff were very helpful (good restaurant recommendations, etc.) and were available to talk if we had any questions. They are committed to making sure their guests have a wonderful stay. Thank you!
"Great hotel. Great location to get to everything!"
My girlfriends and I just spent a week at the Pals hotel. The suites were a great size and very convenient to have the kitchenette.
The staff was beyond amazing! Everyone was so kind and helpful at all times.
The location is great in downtown Tulum, walking distance to great restaurants, bars and shops in the downtown area.
And the hotel is right on the bike path to the beach and jungle which is about a 15-30 minute ride depending on where you are heading. The bikes are free to use from the hotel and we enjoyed the bike rides daily.
The Palms also has a relationship with the beach club Aura. Yes it is kind of far (about 30 minute bike ride) but it is worth the trip. We went to the Aura beach club daily for free use of chairs and cabanas. They also had a great staff, food and drinks.
The Palms was the best hotel to stay in for size, location, cleanliness, amenities and of course the amazing staff!! 😃
Nice hotel, excellent food. The problem was that Expedia had not reserved the room. It took an hour of haggling and a call to the manager in Mexico city to finally secure the room. Better notification system should be implemented.
Such a nice location and nice hotel. Staff was great. Only issue was the continuous use of a generator near our room - please upgrade to wind or other alternative energy source. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had an nice stay at Ana y Jose, the staff was most excellent and our room was comfortable, though the bed was a little too firm. Our only real complaint was the noise from the hotel bar of the resort next door that continually was pumping techno beats. We choose Tulum to get away from the night life and this was disappointing. We were in the Villa del Mar section which was right next door to the offending bar. The breakfast which was included was quite tasty and we sampled all the offerings. The wait staff and everyone at the front desk was top notch and my wife had a good experience at the Spa. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Built on a bluff facing the rising sun, the Mayan ruins of Tulum offer breathtaking views of the Caribbean. Just south of Akumal, Tulum’s proximity to Cancun makes it the most visited archeological site in Mexico. The village of Tulum, along the main highway, offers shops, restaurants, and cantinas. To the north, tourists can swim with dolphins or dive among brilliantly colored fish at Xel-Ha.
