"Occidental at Xcaret is a great location for families and has many amenities. Super close to Xcaret park easy and beautiful 5 minute walk which is super convenient if you want plan to go. The resort is so big so be prepared to walk everywhere. Great places to eat and shows were great. Downsides are the selling!! Every staff member tries to sell their membership. It’s a type of 90 minute breakfast presentation where they offer you discounts to stuff in exchange to go to one of these. It’s not really my thing but every staff member offers it to you. "

"I had seen many mixed reviews, but I’m glad that I booked this hotel last minute. The polls are amazing. Well kept the ocean. Water was nice and clear, although seaweed kept maintained very well. When I arrived. I was disappointed to hear that I only had the option of a specialty restaurant for one night, I am not a buffet girl usually, they are a disappointment. However, the buffets every day had tons of options and the service was on point. The actual specialty restaurant was OK. I did Spain dinner and it was OK. I will be recommending people to go to this hotel. "
