Overall very good! Champagne check-in… nice touch! I felt the drinks were too weak with liquor but super high in sugar. Enoy gave us the best service at the Chula Vista restaurant. He was so kind & always had a smile. Amazing worker! Great on-site excursion concierge. Had a blast at the pyramid & cenote! The beach was great with many options to set up camp for the day. Paddle boats, kayaks, etc… nice! Loved my towel birthday cake! Thank you!

Pros: Nice park surrounding the property. Very easy and comfortable access to the beach. Good food. Buffet varies almost every day. In addition there is an Italian and gourmet restaurant. Cons: Sometimes it is necessary insist to the staff if you have a special request or you need to change something that is not running as expected. In my case, I requested the change of the room as it was located between two that were being reformed with a lot of noice of the machinery, tools and dust. Although I tried to solved it with the hotel first, I had to involve Expedia to have my room finally changed. After the change, my stay was as expected.

This is a nice hotel with a beautiful beach filled with white sand. It’s located in a gated community and great for a family with small children. It lacks entertainment if your looking for something more upbeat rather than chilled and relaxed. As for the demographic there plenty of locals vacationing at the resort and it’s wasn’t to busy. The property was well taken care of and the rooms were decent but did not offer room service. We were concerned the the food after reading some bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the buffet offered a good selection which changed day to day. The al-acart restaraunts were limited to Italian or Mexican unless you had an upgraded wristband which offered teppenyakki. The staff were very nice and made us feel like home. Overall this is a nice place to vacation.

This was our time staying at the Reef overall happy. Here are our Pros & cons. The beach was great but wish had more beach chairs because after 10am u where left in the burning sun. The two restaurants that required reservations where delicious & service was amazing. The buffet food was standard but on smaller side compared to other neighboring hotels. The hotel feel was good very jungle feel with lots shade when walking from lobby to room. It’s kid friendly with kids pool & arts activities. The staff in the buffet & restaurant was great. The reception check in could improved & need to remember to give towels cards. The lifeguard helps us get the towels cards which was nice.
