The food was outstanding at both the breakfast and dinner buffet. Elsy made my egg every day. I love the bread and made use of the toaster. There are tons of options for food.The a’la cart restaurants were also very good. We were pleased with the evening entertainment, as well as the sweet Shop. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the pillows not so much unless you like them squishy. They did housekeeping for us upon request each time doing an excellent job. The staff was very good and always wanted to help. The entertainment team was nice though only one game per day on average in the pool. There was blackjack a couple of days. We did not travel with children so we don’t have any clue on what was going on with that. The bartenders at the lobby, Armando and Eric or the absolute best! Tony helped us on the way out with some discounts for future stays. The beach was unusable, but at no fault of the hotel. It was very easy to travel from Nizuc to the Sunrise by a shuttle. We got a ride with almost no waiting every time we wanted to transport back-and-forth. There was some NFL playoff games and they did a good job trying to get the biggest screen for us for the Packer Bear playoff. Eventually, we ended up watching TVs, but it was fine. They do try to sell you an invite to a 90 minute event, but we declined a few times. Check in and check out was a breeze. Use the slippers provided in the rooms as your feet get dirty. Same loud music at pool. The rooms and bathrooms are not really new but they are clean. All rooms have ocean view. Hard liquor, beers and sodas available in the rooms. The buffet has many options, huge seating area, never a wait for a teble. There is something for everyone. They don't change it a lot daily but it is still enough to choose from. There are some other restaurants available for dinner. We went to 2 only, they were good, we don't eat meat so I can't say much for the dishes. Few pools. I believe only one was heated. You can choose the pary pool or the relax pool. Their beach is small but the water was nice, no big waves like on the gulf side. They organize day and night pool parties at another hotel, also free of charge and transportation included. I am looking forward to visiting this resort again.
