"OK for the price."
At first we were a little hesitant but over all it was OK. The place is just a bit worn. For the price is was all we needed at the time as it was close to where our grandchild lives.

"Good Hotel at Bargain Price "
I am pleased to write reivew about Days Inn in Elk Grove Village. I was expecting a low to moderate type hotel - I was pleasantly surprised. I booked a non-refundable non-smoking room, all included cost of $53. I checked in around midnight. My room was ready for me, Rm no 212. Sapcious, clean and all amneties working. Coffee maker and iron in good condition. I was specially impressed by the chech-in lady how she was trying to hepl a couple who had arrived without reservation, and all rooms were full. She actully helped to connect them to neably hotel. Room A/C was well controlled. The place is a good 20+ minutes shuttle ride - shuttle pickup is a call-in service. At call in - about 1/2 hr pickup time, and a "door no" was given. The actual pick-up time was 40 minutes. The "door number" is of the "Shuttle Pickup Terminal". It is NOT the rental cars shuttles pick up lanes. All hotel shutles, cheap or expensive hotel, pick up customers here. It is a short walk ( about 3 blocks) from Terminal 1 Taxi pickup booth. It is across from Ohare HILTON but best to ask at the Cab booth or some information center.

"Great place to stay with a very central location"
Only complaint is I could not check in early. The staff is nice and helped me out BOTH times I was locked out of my room for various reasons without an attitude. They clean the place every day and if your awake early enough you'll see them. People from all over the world stay as guests and on average are nicer than Americans. The coffe is good and the breakfast is decent!

Chicago Getaway Hostel

"Nice, clean hostel with nice extras"
I stayed here with my two young adult children. We had a private room with a half bath, bunk bed, double on the bottom and twin on top. The room was small but met our needs of having a place to sleep and I was surprised to find the mattress to be of regular thickness. I was a little concerned that it would be a thin hard mattress but it was really quite comfortable. A nice assortment of breakfast items was available every morning. The lounge area had several computers and a free printer which was nice for printing out our return boarding passes. It is located close to the bus/train and didn't take us long to get anywhere downtown. The only downside was the elevators weren't working and we were on the third floor. Some days after a full day of walking, climbing those steps seemed a little daunting but it wasn't really that bad. The other concern I had was one night when I went down to the women's showers, a man was at the door ready to go in. When he saw me coming down the hall, he hurried and left. It could have been innocent or accidental, the men's shower was on the floor below us, but it could have been a very dangerous situation.

It is an older hotel with a run down exterior and interior that is struggling to remake itself. It was clean, inexpensive and staff was great.
