800 S Michigan Ave, Chicago - Map
"Nice hotel, great location."
Right on Michigan Ave, we chose the hotel for location. Staff was very personable and professional - always friendly and helpful. Older hotel, but remodeled. Great view from our room with floor-to-ceiling windows gave us glimpses of the lake and park.

"Great view"
We had a corner room with a great view down to the Shedd Aquarium through the parks. The wind howled outside but we were quite comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds. The restaurant was being renovated and looked like it will be a great stop the next time we are in town. I would stay here again.

Central Loop Hotel

"Average. Blocks from start of historic Route 66."
Stayed for five nights, and had no major complaints. I had seen others complain about street noise, which I experienced very little of on the alley side of the hotel. There were only a few very minor things I didn't like about the room: 1. It's one of the smaller hotel rooms I've ever stayed in 2. The room's door wasn't sealed around the door, and you could see light from the hall through the crack around all edges of the door. 3. The heat and air conditioner unit ran constantly while on (but wasn't loud) Things other people might not like: 1. My room (single double) had no refrigerator, mini fridge, hair dryer, or personal safe 2. The television was small (maybe 20") 3. Keycard access to use elevator (think shopping, food, luggage) 4. The alarm clock display illuminates the room As for location, it's on Adams street and was only a 10-15 minute walk to everywhere I needed to be. Checkout, walk to the train, and boarding for O'Hare took 8 minutes (at around 6am). The hotel has an attached pub called Elephant & Castle, which had great food and beer. While almost everything around closed at 5pm, a lot of pubs and some restaurants are open late. There's a members lounge in the basement, where they have fruit, snacks, coffee, soft drinks, a television, computers, and a couple of checkers boards. I couldn't figure out when the snacks and soft drinks were taken out for the night.. they were there at 7pm one day and gone at 5:45pm the next day.

I did not stay long and my sleep pattern was thrown off by my travel. The room was clean and comfortable. It was just a little tight.

"Good Downtown Location"
Very nice overall but the room was a kind of small for the price range. The lounge on the 3rd floor is a nice perk with free coffee/espresso and snacks, also had free wifi. Staff was very good.

"Great place."
Really nice accommodations quiet clean and a very friendly staff if there is one downfall to my stay at the Swiss Hotel it is the $70 do valet park your car. I thought that was excessive.

"Great Hotel for a Busy Businessman"
I stay here when I am in Chicago, even when the event I am attending is in the Hyatt Regency and other big fancy hotels nearby. While it is cheaper to stay here, it is not the money. It is good value for the money but I like the rooms, although some might think they are a bit smaller, they are well equipped and very comfortable. There is a great Italian restaurant with a little bar called Bella Bacinos on the ground floor. Many of the staff have been there for years and are excellent at their jobs. At the end of a very busy business day I like to "come home" and relax a Bacinos and the Club Quarters

You’ll find no shortage of things to do when you stay in the hustle and bustle of Chicago.

If you’re looking for an all-around good time, head for Navy Pier. Constructed in 1916, the pier offers something for everyone, whether you’re travelling alone, with your family, or with a gaggle of friends. Ride the Ferris wheel, rent jet skis, or explore some of the many restaurants lining the area. Want to explore the local culture? Go west to the Riverfront Theatre, a giant tent located on a riverfront complex. Besides a great view of the river when outside, the theatre itself offers performances of comedies, dramas, musicals, and everything in between.

Any first-time—or repeating—visitor to Chicago needs to see the Cloud Gate. Head over to Millennium Park and take in the shining, seamless bean, which has incited wonder since its dedication in 2006. Millennium Park itself has a number of things to do such as visiting McCormick Tribune Plaza. During the winter, this plaza is an ice skating rink; in summer, it’s a restaurant.

There’s so much to do in The Loop, you won’t want to drag your heels to a far-off hotel at the end of every day. When you stay in Chicago, downtown hotels give you the best bang for your buck. They’re close to shopping areas like The Shops at State and Washington, so you’ll have somewhere to leave your purchases; they’re also close to the nightlife along the waterfront. You might not even have to take a cab back in the evenings!

Trust to bring you the best deals on hotels in Chicago. You’ll find a variety of rooms and suites available, and they carry our Best Price Guarantee, so you know you’re going to have plenty of money left over for an extra shopping spree in The Loop.
