It's an easy walk to Soldier field, and we even saw several Bears players leaving the hotel prior to the game. The cleaning crew leaves much to be desired. It seemed like only the bed was made, with no cleaning in the bathroom. Our friends who stayed, said their bed wasn't made just because a single piece of clothing (not underwear) was left on top of the sheets.
After a long and tiring drive, with a car full of agitated people because our trip was a medical one, the last thing we needed to get lost. Apparently the hotel staff are aware the listed address of 4900A S. Lake Shore Dr causes GPS problems. Would it hurt to list S Chicago Beach Dr,too?
My stay was great. Facilities were welcoming and comfortable. The Inn Keeper and wife are gracious and charming. They made my stay enjoyable under the difficult circumstances that brought me to Chicago.
It was a very busy weekend with hotels averaging between $250 and $350. The Chinatown Hotel cost me $100 a night saving me a substantial amount of money in my three day stay. I spent very little time in my hotel room and most of my time enjoying Chicago. Located about a mile from Michigan Avenue, an enjoyable and safe walk. Chinatown Hotel was a great place to shower, sleep and go and that's just what I needed.
Most amazing view and location but this run down and unkept condo needs some attention. Broken furniture, outdated electronics, musty smelling cheap towels were some of the problems. Great layout and close to train station.
The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. The restaurant on the property had great service and good quality food. The location of the hotel was really great. We got to explore a wonderful neighbourhood by foot with lots of great restaurants and shops. It was very safe for 2 women to explore day or night on foot. The hotel seems to be under-going a renovation, but that did not interfere with our enjoyment of our time there.
