front desk lady that check me in and out has an awful attitud, not the best wecolme as you arrive to the hotel she prefered to continue watching her phone then to say hi and begin my check in.

I had a great stay at the Royal Sonesta Downtown. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. My room and particularly the bed was very comfortable. Also, my view was spectacular. I was a little surprised by the room security deposit fee, which wasn’t highlighted or mentioned when I made the reservation. My only suggestion would be to make sure customers are aware of this policy.

This was a beautiful hotel! I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms because they looked smaller in the photos. They also had really great staff! I would definitely stay here again!

There were people driving very noisy cars on the streets below every day. For one day they were even doing drifts on the crossroad below, and I can still see the tire marks the next day. Although I'm staying on the 19th floor, it was still very noisy and woke me up from sleeping in the night. It's a nice position, though, with river views, and easy commute.

Most of the staff was very nice. There was a person at the front desk between the hours of 3 and 7pm on 7/7/24 that was rather rude. It was like she was mad at us for her having to work there. Never got off her cell phone. Not pleasant. Our TV was cracked when we got there and they sent maintenance right away to get it fixed. Rest of staff including the cleaning crew was very friendly. Hoyt the restaurant had really good food.

the location of this hotel couldn't be more convenient for the vast majority of Chicago's main attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. Wacker Ave is quite noisy on a Saturday night, but this isn't the hotel's fault. The only issue we encountered during our stay was trouble connecting to the wifi. Because we were there for leisure it was not a huge issue, but a bit of an inconvenience. Other than that it was great place to stay, highly recommend!
