"Comfortable Modern Hotel, Close to Everything "
My husband and I stayed at the Ivy for a little 1 day getaway. The hotel was nicer than expected. Great rainfall shower and deep soaking tub. I even love the bed so much I considered calling the number provided to purchase the same mattress for my home. Location is great. We walked at total of 10 miles around the city enjoying everything from Gibsons Steakhouse, Water Tower Place, Garretts Popcorn, House of Blues, ect. We only live 30 minuets away from downtown, but we will definitely be coming back.

"Romantic night in the city"
Third time here, and each time the hotel outdoes itself. Took the wife here for her birthday and a night on the town. She loved the in-room fireplace so much that I almost had to cancel plans for the even because she didn't want to leave!

"Great hotel & bar with superb vip+ benefits"
Very comfortable hotel with extremely friendly staff. Great location, good amenities, lovely restaurant downstairs. Bar deserves its own mention as the Cocktail Director up there is a genius, we enjoyed it immensely. Nice having two solid nightlife choices right there in your hotel! Received VIP+ free early check-in, free room upgrade from king bedroom to suite, two complimentary drink tickets (given that drinks are $15-$18 at the bar that's substantial!).

"Quiet hotel close to the action"
The Whitehall is a nice hotel which is right off of Michigan Avenue and within walking distance of many premium shopping areas, Millenium Park and the art Institute. The hotel staff was polite. The only issue I noted was the fact that 1 of the hotel's 2 elevators was out of service. According to hotel staff it had not functioned in weeks. Thankfully I was located on the 3 rd floor and took the stairs most of the time. However, it was definitely an inconvenience since the elevators only had capacity for 5 guests.

"My Bohemian get away"
Loved the staff member that would sing in the hallways in Spanish. The decor in the hotel from the outside to the elevators. The Berkshire Bar had some great whiskeys to choose from and very experienced and talented bartenders! Great coffee knock n' drop service and the bakery was fantastic! Great location! I stayed solo this round and felt very comfortable there and able to find things at the hotel to have fun if I chose.

"Good room, not a conventional hotel"
The room was huge and had a great shower and comfortable bed. Good WiFi, no TV (as advertised). Clean, airy, even supplies bathrobes. Fourth floor walkup. For business travel, the main problem with it is that there is no desk to work at. No convenient electrical outlet near bed for recharging phone (there's one above the bed, but you'd hit it with the pillow.... This is not a conventional hotel. Outside the working hours of the spa (10am-7pm I think), there is no reception desk or other service. I arrived late, and the keys were in a mailbox. I received a key code by email, so there was some security. Convenient to Division station on the Blue Line.

Do you like money? Who doesn’t! Visit the Money Museum, which was established by the U.S. Federal Reserve. Check out a large cube made up of $1 million, as well as exhibits on counterfeiters and historical currency. For something less expensive, head to Oak Street Beach for a stroll. If it’s a windy, cold day, bring your coat; if the Midwest sun is hot, bring your flip-flops. Once the night falls, don’t take it as a signal to head back to your room just yet. Head to Cubby Bear, a sports bar by day, music venue by night. Established in 1953, this meeting spot was vital to the Chicago punk music scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s. While the tunes vary these days, it’s still the place to see a local band on the brink of success.
