"Night and day above the other"
I say that because I cancelled my second night stay from an awful hotel downtown and booked my second night at the Hotel Lincoln. Best decision I made the whole trip. The room was great (spacious, clean, well furnished and very modern) and the staff was even better. My wife had a bad stomach ache in the middle of the night and I called down to the front desk and asked if they had any Pepto-Bismol. They said no and started telling me where the nearest Walgreen's was and then stopped and offered to get some money from me and go get it for me since it was the middle of the night. I was super greatful and tried to give him a tip, he wouldn't take it. And that is just one example of how excellent the staff was. Next trip to Chicago I'm staying here again!

"Great location, very sweet mod boutique "
The staff is so helpful and the hotel is lovely. Just a few things particular to my own needs and desires that make it not a the top of my list for my next stay. The furniture is built low to the floor so it's a bit uncomfortable and I bruised my klutzy self on the bed more than a few times. The rooms have very thin walls and I realized people in the hall could hear my tv or me talking, etc.To access your room, the elevator needs a key which is great for security but the elevators are right in front of the front desk and I felt a bit like a kid in a dorm watched coming in and out. Also I was there for about 5 days so it would hv been a lovely to be able to have a mini fridge in the room. But the staff was great about brining ice. The rooms are large and lovely. It's a fantastic value for the price. And as I mentioned, the staff was truly kind and helpful.

"Best stay in Chicago NO Tipping!!"
When looking for a place to stay I always start at the top. The Waldorf did not disappoint. Our bags were brought up to our room and after a brief walk through of the room as our attendant was about to leave we were told that they do not take gratuities. His words " It takes the pressure off our guests. Wow!! I have nothing against tipping but it did relieve a lot of how much? or how often? Best place to stay in Chicago. Also they have a very nice house car that will drop you off anyplace you want to go within 2 miles.

"Loved it!"
Went to Chicago on business and this was the perfect hotel. We will absolutely stay here again when we next take a personal trip to Chicago. First, the location is great- safe area, within a block of a ton of great shopping and restaurants, easy access to transportation and centrally located in the city. Second, the accommodations just as nice but much more personal (and much more rock and roll) than a Hilton Garden Inn type hotel plus they have free wifi,a really great bakery/breakfast spot in the lobby, and a hip upscale bar . The room was a little on the small side and could have used a bit more light but it had everything you need AND the bed was super comfortable. They also have in room robes which is nice if you use the spa. Yes, I did just say SPA! For some reason they don't mention this amenity on their website or on Expedia (and they definitely should- you listening ACME?) so I did not pack a swimsuit. After seeing the inviting whirlpool and spa area I was glad to walk around the corner to Marshall's to buy a swimsuit. Definitely a major highlight of our stay. Another happy surprise was the free morning delivery of coffee. Not only did I get a 100% free thermos of coffee delivered to my room every morning, it was actually really, really good coffee (like the kind I am usually happy to pay for). I can't see why someone would not like this hotel. It's a safe bet and one you will very likely enjoy!

Do you like money? Who doesn’t! Visit the Money Museum, which was established by the U.S. Federal Reserve. Check out a large cube made up of $1 million, as well as exhibits on counterfeiters and historical currency. For something less expensive, head to Oak Street Beach for a stroll. If it’s a windy, cold day, bring your coat; if the Midwest sun is hot, bring your flip-flops. Once the night falls, don’t take it as a signal to head back to your room just yet. Head to Cubby Bear, a sports bar by day, music venue by night. Established in 1953, this meeting spot was vital to the Chicago punk music scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s. While the tunes vary these days, it’s still the place to see a local band on the brink of success.
