"Fun decor"
I had a comfortable room with 2 queen beds. I used the restaurant in the hotel for dinner and the food and service was excellent. I have been to Kimpton hotels in San Fransisco and Portland, OR as well and I really enjoy the complimentary wine evenings. Thank you.

"I would return."
Great downtown hotel. Pleasing staff, clean. A bit pricey, but we were there during a Cubs' playoff game (for a different reason). Our room was not ready (check in was at 3:00; we were there at 3:45) so we were moved to a lower floor. No big deal. Parking is a nightmare. Valet parking only for $62 per night. Parking is the biggest issue at this hotel. Otherwise, a great stay.

Raffaello Hotel

"Great value, great location"
I stayed at the Rafaello for two nights to attend a class at the UIC Gleacher Center. The hotel was within walking distance of the Center and could be accessed either by walking on Michigan Ave or Fairbanks, which was less distracting and less busy. The staff was very friendly and the room was great, very clean, modern furnishings and all the amenities needed. The workout room was also great and although I didn't partake of any doughnuts, another guest raved about Glazed and Infused's selection. The weather was unseasonably warm so I checked out the rooftop bar which was another great amenity of this hotel. All-in-all, it was a terrific stay and I will definitely stay there again in the future.

"Excellent position"
Expedia managed to extend our stay when we had late notice that our flight had been changed. Unfortunately this meant a smaller room. The room was comfortable despite this and adequate for our needs. The hotel reception and door staff were excellent. We did not eat in the hotel.

"Fantastic location, all the basics w/ a low price"
This place was weird but awesome. Just a warning, the hallway kind of look like the place from The Shining but it was decorated the best it could be to make it cute and homey! There is a community kitchen with a fridge, dish washer, stove, sink, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker, and tea/sugar provided. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was great, and there was adjustable climate control. My room was advertised as "room with a view" but that was at the very least an over exaggeration. Also there was a door to the outside fire escape in my room, which kind of worried us for safety. All in all, the price for the location was INCREDIBLE and the hotel, although odd, was fun and covered the basics.
