"Great hotel in good location"
Hotel, staff and location are all top class. The hotel is small enough to give you the feeling of personal care. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

"Short Stay - weekend visit"
Nice clean facility, close to important sites and activities. Room was nice and clean. Too much furniture jammed into our room, a second bed in the living room, which made watching TV from the davenport impossible. Service staff was very friendly and accommodation but the food delivery from the kitchen was terribly slow. We waited 45 minutes for a simple breakfast.

"comfortable and close in"
We rented two rooms for ourselves and our son's family. The rooms and service were both good. TV fine and suite appliances were adaquate. The front desk were accommodating and very understanding of our "zoo" when it came to children and the noise, confusion, and mess that often accompanies these situations. The elevator is the smallest I've ever been in. There was just enough room for the luggage and two adults; or one adult and 3 small children.

"Quiet in an area with small town/village feel"
I have no major complaints. The only thing wrong was when I arrived at Trutch Manor the owner informed me that she rented out the suite I reserved that night. I wasn't happy about having to move rooms but the staff moved my luggage for me and were very helpful. The location was perfect. It is within walking distance of the beach, Inner Harbour and Cook Street Village which has delicious restaurants, funky stores and much more. There is also a bus stop one block up on Cook Street which will take you right down town. But I recommend walking downtown if you can because there are numerous shops and things to see along the way.

The hotel was easy to find from the ferry. Check in was easy, the room was easy. We felt the experience was enjoyable at reasonable cost. We liked the Art Deco restaurant and the English pub lounge.

Excellent hotel with good spacious room and good breakfast. The swimming pool wasn't too inviting near a busy road and outdoors. The restaurant closed over a year ago. Easy to walk down to Ogden Point and also Downtown.

With a name like Victoria, it’s not hard to understand why it was named the most English city in North America. This thriving city has grown and changed from its British days, however, in ways that will surprise and delight you.

    Downtown Victoria

If you want to be close to it all, book Victoria, British Columbia, hotels downtown near Christ Church Cathedral, the Pacific Undersea Gardens, and the Victoria Bug Zoo.

The cathedral is not only gorgeous, but is the Diocese of British Columbia of the Anglican Church of Canada. Meanwhile, naturalist adventures can be had at the mini bug zoo, where you can see 50 or more species of insects, Myriapoda, and arachnids up close and personal. Of course, if bugs just make your skin crawl, head to the undersea gardens. Go below deck in a 150-foot vessel where you can check out more than 5,000 ocean species through the boat’s transparent hull.

    Getting Around Victoria

One of the best ways to experience Victoria is by bike. The city has more cycling routes than any other city in Canada. Of course, renting a car can be a convenient way to get around the city, too. Or, check out Victoria hotel deals on the inner harbour of this Vancouver Island city and take a cruise.
