When we was there, the hotel was under an extensive renovation so we did expect some noise or any mishaps. But it turns out to be none! The the pool was closed for renovation and the hotel had arranged 3 other pools for their guests to use. But we weren't planning to swim anyway, it was winter, even though this is Victoria but winter is still winter. The staffs were very nice, polite, and helpful. The location of the hotel itself makes it easier to walk around and drive around the town. I hope I can go back during the summer time and stay there again.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the Inn. It was very nice and I liked the fact we could walk to everything. Great restaurants all around. Our room was on the corner so we got great views both ways. We will definitely come again.

"Elegant but not pretentious!"
Oakbay beach hotel is a hotel from the past, whith elegance and charm, old style school hospitality including The Snug, a most wonderful little resto and pub looking over the ocean. It is also a hotel for the present, with great amenities, comfortable room and efficient, modern appliances and fixtures. The best of both world! And nothing compare to the experience of swimming in a warm seawater pool or soaking in a seawater spa by the ocean in the middle of February! And with a glass of champagne, wine or beer or cup of tea or coffee if you so desire!

"Beautiful hotel, quiet stay"
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms also and very spacious. My one issue was the pool being in another building and no covered walk way to get there. I prefer to go in a robe and return to shower in my room but it was not the weather to do that. We had dinner in Bella restaurant which was very good but pricey for what you get. I was also surprised by how few patrons were in the restaurant and perhaps that speaks to the price. Beautiful restaurant too and great service.
