The staff is great, the food is great, the views are amazing. Dog friendly and Whiffin spit next door to walk whenever you want. The dining room was freezing and the food was just okay. However, the dessert was OUTSTANDING. Cudos to the Pastry Chef. Always wonderful when you can see the ocean from your bed. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared with touches like tomato coral and delicious sauces. We tried elk tartare and it was delicious. Couple areas of concern included: being out of many menu items, the fridge in our room was noisy and they struggled with the thin the lounge on our second night so we were unable to watch the hockey game. Overall we had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The onsite restaurant, bar, and coffee ā€œgrab and goā€ were great. Excellent property. The only surprising thing was that the room doesnā€™t have air conditioning. They may not need it most of the time, however, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. We opened the small windows and used the fan provided. The windiest had screens. The sliding door did not. Leaving the sliding door open resulted in mosquitos in the room. Iā€™m not sure if there is enough airflow with just the two small windows. Perhaps put a screen on the sliding door? It is easy to walk the Whiffin Spit from the hotel.
