"Good location hotel"
It is very close to downtown, walking distance to Chinatown. very nice staff service. Facilities are okay, enough for the travelers who stays most of the time outside. I recommend this hotel for its cheap price!

"Budget hostel - good value for the low price"
Don't expect luxury or even mediocrity, but for the price and the location, I'd say this is a good deal. The rooms are very small but clean, and the beds are comfortable enough. I think some listings say the rooms have shared bathrooms, but at least all the rooms I saw had a toilet and a shower in the room - and I do mean *in* the room (a stall for the shower, but the toilet is just sitting in the corner), so probably not ideal if you're sharing a room with someone. There was plentiful warm water, heating, and WiFi. I didn't interact much with the staff, and they seemed to speak quite limited English, but everything worked how it was supposed to. Note that when you arrive, there might not be anyone at the hostel: you'll need to call them using a phone by the door, they'll give you the door code so you can get inside, and they'll come give you the keys within 5-10 minutes. Chinatown is not the most scenic part of town, but it's safe, quiet (this is definitely not a party hostel), within walking distance of a lot of areas, and the Kensington area that's right next to the hostel is a cute little hipster bubble.

"Basic, Clean, Quiet"
Location is central, walking distance to U of T, with convenient access to transit for longer trips. There are lots of local eateries and nightlife in & around what feels like a college-orientated neighbourhood. Staff were friendly. Room was very clean, very basic - not a hotel room, so set proper expectations. My room had a bathroom, but a lower rate is available for sharing common bathroom. All looked clean and well-kept. The guesthouse is not a place for anyone who can't navigate staircases. A common kitchen is available although I didn't use it.

"Right price for the right occasion. "
I had a late check in, and their office closed at 10pm. So I called them during the check in day, and they just advised me to call their number when I arrived, and someone would come to take me to the room, and that is what happened.

"Good Hotel Close To Downtown"
The room was clean. It was not warm during the winter time. The fridge generated bad noise frequently (which was much worse over the night).

"Cheap place to stay in while seeing the city"
As a student, staying in residence was appealing to me as it was easy on the wallet while remaining right in the middle of Downtown Toronto. This place has all a person needs - a place to sleep, shower, and eat, and nothing more. Some may call a room barren (it definitely has a bare minimum of furniture and naked concrete walls), but for this price, I really have no complaints. Bring flip flops for the communal showers.
