The staff was amazing. The rooms were clean. The lobby was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Very convenient location downtown close to all the amenities.
Great location and look. Love the convenience of the little shop/café downstairs. The staff were attentive, professional and kind. The room was small for my liking but clean with a comfy bed. Would definitely stay again!
This hotel was awesome and in great proximity to everything in the city. Breakfast was the best and looked forward to it each morning. The only thing that I wished the hotel had was a swimming pool or hot tub but regardless I’d definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Perfect location. Close to everything. Breakfast buffet is top notch with lots of options. I have stayed here multiple times and would stay here again. Price this time was quite high but great value when it isn't.
Hotel and room were very clean. Air conditioning may have worked the best of any hotel I have stayed in. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel was very clean throughout and we appreciated the fact that it’s a newly built hotel. The room had everything we needed including a big window and even a side window that could be opened. The washroom was excellent and toilet had its own separate little room which was a nice touch. Great breakfast buffet in the morning which was a major plus point. Will come back!!
One-year-old hotel in the heart of lively downtown Toronto. Very well staffed with excellent people. The room was spotless. By far the best breakfast included of any hotel where we've stayed. The odd things were very little counter space in the bathroom and at the coffee and fridge station, little place to hang towels, and only a small single-drawer dresser for clothing, etc.
The hotel is very modern, clean and well maintained. Beds we very comfortable and with the blackout curtains the room stayed incredibly dark for sleep. Biggest issue that would make me not want to stay here was the fact that you could hear everything happening outside the door like there was no door. Avoid room 906. It is right by the elevators and loud a heck.
Absolutely excellent location to all attractions downtown Toronto. The included breakfast was fantastic and super convenient. The only complaint is that our room had a massive bathroom sink with absolutely zero counter top, so no room at all for shaving items, makeup items, place to put down a curling iron etc. I ended up putting a towel in the sink to place items on. I would stay here again but the sink with no vanity was frustrating.
It was very clean, and quiet, bathroom fixtures were a little weird imo. If i was skinnier i would probably fall into the square toilet, hardly any couter pace on the vanity and I can see future problem with the plastic shower controls, and just what does the little button on each control do? Other than that the hotel is in the perfect location with lots of streetlife ie outdoor bars right there, the continental breakfast was phenominal, a definite stay again kinda place.
The most memorable part of our stay at the RIU was Brandon who from the moment we arrived made us feel right at home. Always a smile and some pleasant conversation each day we met. The next would be the unexpected included resort style breakfast buffet offered to everyone staying at the hotel. Everything you could hope for and more. We had a couple hiccups with the elevator service leaving us to go down by stairs and even once going up due to repairs and also high usage during the Soccer World Cup. Still a 9/10 for our first stay!
A very nice hotel to stay in. We stayed during a World Cup matchday for which, as expected, the hotel was sold out. The hotel being full was definitely a negative. Staff were excellent and friendly but found it overwhelming to keep up with the demands of a full hotel. Check-In was very slow and the lobby area was extremely full. Elevator waits for both up and down were very, very long, 20+ minutes long. The breakfast buffet, which was excellent, by far the best hotel breakfast we've ever had, had a massive line and wait to get into the dining room. A very nice hotel. Great location. Would definitely stay again if it's on a great deal. Hopefully, it wouldn't be as busy.
