Breakfast was decent and was included in the rate. The room was in really rough shape--dirty, unkept and in dire need of renovations. There was no bedside table (I had to move furniture around) and no bedside lamp (I had to get out of bed to turn out the lights--I do not travel with a bedside table lamp... but I did need to use a flashlight). I won't stay here again, not would I recommend.
Was there on a business trip and the location is close to business district. For the price the bed is comfortable and the room is clean.
Will reserve there again!!!!
Great budget friendly, no frills option in the downtown core.

We arrived about 45 minutes after scheduled check in. Our room was not ready and then it took the staff over 20 minutes to find us a new room with only one bed even though we paid for a room with two beds. The staff would not give us the discounted price either for the room with one bed. The staff were quite incompetent at their job, I understand they are probably all students but customer service isn’t a new concept. The hotel itself was not bad, we did not expect a 5 star hotel but good customer service is not rocket science.
The location is great. The room is decent. It is a student resident. There is a security person that is quite violent and discriminatory. There is over policing of guests (as if we were students). Half from desk staff is helpful. Half makes you feel inadequate, and as an inconvenience. The internet did not work one night. Some of us are academics affiliated with the UoT who hold online meetings. The staff refused to do much about the loss of internet connection in the entire hotel. I suggest an overhaul of the staff and proper training to treat guests with kindness and respect.
