"The room we booked had no view so we upgraded to a suite that was amazing. The view from the balcony made our stay that much better. The staff was great and helped with recommendations and anything else we needed. The only downside to the vacation was the prices. The cost for food there was stateside without the level of quality. Otherwise the water, and beach were amazing, so was the hotel and we would 100% recommend Ixchel for your stay."

"We really enjoyed the free Zama beach club access daily with padded chair and umbrella right on a beautiful stretch of beach (a very short walk from hotel). The free breakfast was a great way to try an authentic meal that we wouldn’t have otherwise—the chilaquiles were delicious. The hotel was a great low cost choice."

"I am very afraid of any insect and they crawl the bed at midnight, they don’t bite but they are there , i didn’t take a pic bit is not a croach , more like little beetles rice grain size , I was expecting some bugs because the ceiling is palm leaves you get to enjoy the most spectacular and beautiful beach , the sister hotel is across the street and is were the food is served , you’ll have sun beds and umbrellas included , playa norte"

"Everything about this property was lovely! From the moment we got there the staff was very friendly. Day two we noticed AC was not cooling down very well, it was fixed right away. They helped us get a golf cart for a day. They arranged for our taxi to pick us up to take us to the ferry on departure day. The pool was perfect after a beach day! It overlooked the ocean and was just beautiful. There's an outdoor pool bar right near the main pool. There are three pools in total. The rooms were clean and simple. Had everything you needed. Shower was hot! The entire hotel was as pictured and within walking distance to everything you need! Playa Norte was a short 5 minute walk. We will definitely return and would highly recommend"
