We’ve been coming to Isla for 10 years now. This was the first time we stayed at this hotel. The property itself it’s beautiful, a real tropical paradise. The food for being AI was a good variety. We took our son and his friend here for his 18th birthday so the fact that 2 teenagers could go eat anytime and as much as they want was fantastic. My only complaint (which is why we won’t stay here again) is the music that they have going all day and into the night. I’m NOT kidding you can’t sit anyplace on the beach, under a palapa or even on our own balcony without the constant boom boom boom of the music blasting...the activities directors think they are quite the DJ’s and have no idea what a proper volume is...I seriously couldn’t wait for the vacation to be over because of the constant “music noise” from this property. Maybe some people want to go on vacay and have the music going ALL the time. We don’t, sitting on our balcony to listen to the waves was impossible. Don’t even get me started on the sunset party barges (yes, plural) that pull up on the weekends and blast the music for hours while people basically dance to rave boom boom boom music in the water...there are no quiet evenings here to watch the sunset. This place is a one and done for us. There are too many great restaurants on the island that paying for the AI isn’t worth it because of the constant music.
