Restaurant staff were especially nice in the restaurants and buffet. Breakfast was wonderful. Over all this was a great place to stay. You must meet Abu!"

"We had an amazing stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico and would absolutely come back again. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. The property itself is beautiful—well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with a relaxing atmosphere that really lets you unwind."

"Our stay at the hotel was overall pleasant, but the buffet was a big disappointment. The food selection was very limited and lacked variety. There were plenty of vegetables and salads, but very few meat options and almost no seafood choices. The only seafood available was some small dried shrimp, which was not very appealing. It also seemed strange that there were several different kinds of onions, yet not enough main dishes to choose from. Each day the buffet felt repetitive, and the overall selection was much smaller than expected for a hotel of this level. We were hoping for more options, especially more protein choices such as chicken, beef, fish, or other seafood. The service at the buffet also needs improvement. Staff often did not clear used plates from the table in a timely manner, which made the dining experience less comfortable. That being said, the hotel’s restaurants were actually very good. The food quality and service there were much better, and we enjoyed our meals at the restaurants much more than at the buffet."

"Really good food, especially the little kitchen outside by the bar, had the best burgers, the once in awhile outdoor bbq was fantastic, the bartender named Armando was really good, provided us with excellent service, the rooms were spacious, quiet and comfy, wifi was good, really enjoyed our stay, there is one restaurant that I wouldn’t go back to which is the manhattan, lousy food, slow service, all the other restaurants were excellent, most of the staff gave us excellent service and were very friendly…… the only complaint I have is the elevator music they play will drive you insane …..we stayed 10 days"

"Resort is beautiful & very clean! The rooms are large and the bed was comfortable. We opted for the “Elite Club” access, but not sure it was totally worth the extra cost or even necessary. I will say that if you are looking for a “quiet/laid back” pool atmosphere the EC pool & pool bar is exactly that & might be worth the extra money. We never had any issues getting into any of the the restaurants, which seemed to be the case whether you were an Elite Club member or not. We felt our best meal was the one night we took advantage of the private EC restaurant, but all of the food options were very good. Biggest issue for us was the limited hours for the restaurants, with the exception of the buffet. Keep in mind that the very large buffet or the pool grill (hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken) are the only lunch options offered."

"The food at the buffet is always good. The restaurants that require reservations are just ok. The staff is kind, friendly, and they make your stay amazing. The beach is small, but beautiful. This is my 2nd stay this year at this resort and i will go back."
