It is a very beautiful place with a great atmosphere right by the beach. You feel like you are in Jungle as soon as you walk into the hotel. We stayed at a garden view bungalow. It was a good size and very private. I wish we could stay longer.

Very central location. Clean and comfortable. Nice staff. Good price. Walk 2 blocks to Walmart and buy groceries, rather than eat out every meal.

This was our first ever experience in Mexico and we were blown away with the service level that seems to be the core culture at Grand Velas regardless of who you come across. Every single staff at Grand Velas make you feel like a royalty. You get treated with kids gloves every where you turn.

This is a very nice resort and possibly the best one I have stayed at in Mexico! I arrived on January 5th and stayed until the 19th. The entire trip including flights and transportation (Happy Shuttle) to and from the resort went very smooth without incident. Staff were first class and you're treated very well! The location is close to the beach, shopping, restaurant and 5th avenue. It has a jungle vibe and you get to see animals visiting your balcony that you have not seen before. The staff are very attentive and welcoming.

We had a fantastic stay! It's a true oasis away from a very noisy street. They've done incredibly well in sound proofing with double sliding balcony doors cutting it out. The decor is beautiful, the beds were so comfortable, the staff were beyond helpful and kind. Only poor point was the very lacklustre included breakfast. we were looking for a hotel at the end of our trip and came here and were so positive surprised. This hotel is amazing. From the extreme welcome of the staff and the beautiful layout of the hotel you feel like you are on a jungle vacation. They have a super nice, clean and large pool area and we were there all by ourselves. they will give you a shuttle to the entrance of the Jaguar park, as well as a band so you can ride the electric transportation in the park to go to the national park beaches...

This place is beautiful!! Room was clean, had all amenities needed and the a/c was heaven!! The only thing was the futon bed wasn’t the coziest to sleep on however the main bed was comfortable! As for the food it was good and fairly priced. Our favourite part of it was our concierge Fernando, he went above and beyond for us! he was knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful! Will definitely be back!

The breakfast is very simple nothing fancy. Overal a great place in Playa del Carmen. I would stay here again!

Such a wonderful place, amazing staff and just great vibes!

Everything was great, except for the fact that the all inclusive package from Expedia did not include transportation to and from the airport to the resort. Last time we were there everything was taken care of in an A to Z fashion. This was an extreme inconvenience at the start of our vacation.

The staff and placement of the property!

In this property, we were able to experience the amazing service and facilities that we already expect from Fairmont. We know that their food is great so having to eat here three times a day for five days with basically no limit is just the best way to relax.

The resort was a bit of a distance from transportation or amenities but aside from that the experience was excellent. Tony was a friendly, informative, and helpful host who gave a personal touch. The room wasn’t modern but certainly was nice and had character. The beach was decent although suffered from the same seaweed issues as every other beach in the area at the time. There is a quiet little bar next to the resort. The food was amazing and well-priced and we were happy with every meal....
