"Great location"
Room: Need a carpet upgrade, otherwise it's comfortable. Great view of the city. Classic room has iron, drier and cofeemaker. Parking: Underground parking for under CAD 20 per day. A little tight though. SUV will be fine if roof rack is not high. Amenities: Indoor salted (and shallow) pool, sauna ang limited gym equipment. Convenience Factor: Excellent. The hotel is attached to a food court, grocery store, pharmacy, salon, etc. Across from the hotel is the metro that can take you to major points of the city like McGill mall, Old Montréal. Languages: Locals are generally bilinguals. They speak English and French. Be not afraid! Location: It's on St. Hubert street and St. Catherine corner. Latin Quarter is a happening place... expect people from all walks of life. I'd stay again if I have to be in that area of Montréal. Otherwise I still prefer the old part of the city.

"Expensive for what you get, nice breakfast"
The staff was very nice and professional at check-in. The room was OK, but for the price, it was a bit too simple. The breakfast was a great surprise. We enjoyed the various options and the high quality of the products served. The location is good as it is very central to reach many touristic destinations, but at night it was a bit rough as there are a lot of beggars and drunk people in the neighborhood. The front desk person, very friendly (Dorina), suggested that we park our car in the library garage 1st level, which was a great tip as it was a good price ($12 for 24 hours and $9 on weekends), and it was only 2 minutes walk from the hotel. She also suggested a good place to eat (vegetarian buffet called Resto), which was a nice options with good prices.

"Ok for one night only"
The room wasn't at all like the pictures shown online. The entire hotel needs a facelift. It is dated, and our room even had an air conditioner from the 70's. It was ok for one night, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has limited underground parking - but BEWARE - the entrance is very steep and any regular car will SCRAPE the underbelly getting in and out of there. Wish they would of told us about that.....

"Some unexpected nice features."
I was mainly looking for a reasonably priced hotel near public transportation to attend a meeting for 4 days. The hotel satisfied both criteria with very good rates and a Metro station across the street. The room itself, while small, was well furnished and surprise surprise the bathroom came complete with a jacuzzi tub. The desk was good for work and somehow they fit a very comfortable large easy chair into the room. Wifi was as promised free and remarkably fast. Staff were almost uniformly pleasant and helpful.

"More than a bargain, a steal. "
Amazingly friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Wifi was free and strongest in the reception area where one may sit down and relax. Starbucks, restaurants, and bars literally steps away. There are spots reserved in front for loading in and out. Parking is two blocks away in a safe underground garage for only 12 bucks per 24h and in and out privileges. It's literally right in the middle of anything you would want to see in Montréal. The price was unbelievably affordable. I recommended 100%.

For starters, you can’t miss the University of Quebec Montreal. The school has given rise to bookshops, late-night cafes, and lived-in pubs. The Latin Quarter is also home to the biggest LBGT-friendly area of the city. Falling mostly along the rue Saint-Catherine, this section of the city is the site of the annual Montreal Pride Celebration.

The biggest attraction of town is the Grand Bibliotheque. This massive library is home to thousands of tomes and archives. It’s common to see both students and locals relaxing in the aisles with a good book in hand. The Cinematheque is another popular spot in the neighbourhood. Founded in 1963, the Cinematheque is a movie conservatory, with dozens of preserved films. There are often public showings for visitors--though keep in mind, most movies are shown in French.
