"Perfect place for 'every day' experience"
Three of us stayed in two suites at this hotel. What I LOVE is that this hotel is simple, totally unpretentious and so very relaxing! Rooms are perfect for just regular folks who need a safe quiet convenient location - we loved the kitchenette, and the IGA market (really excellent pace) was two minutes walk, the Banque Nationale across the street, the Metro RIGT at the corner! I mean - it is PERFECTO!! The staff is totally charming courteous and efficient, ready to help at any time with a wonderful relaxing easy-going manner, yet fully professional. The breakfast was great - yummy coffee and croissants! I am so happy with this place! I completely prefer a hotel like this to the stuck-up highly over-rated expensive places with attitude from all the staff. AND it's connected to a national ENVIRONMENTAL program, so they re-cycle, conserve water and are very conscientious with resources to help the environment. My family is very aware and a part of this effort! I love Hotel Les Suites la Belle!

Hotel St-Denis

"Great location, not a lot of extras"
The hotel is well situated and staffed. Right in the heart of a busy section and close to the metro line (2-3 blocks). Felt like a safe neighborhood even at night. The hotel is basic but clean and well run. All staff were friendly. The shower was tiny (like cruise boat tiny) and the water pressure was so-so, but it got you clean. If you are looking for a good value this is it.

Morning breakfast included in the room rate was very good especially since most nearby restaurants did not serve breakfast. Pool, sauna, and basic gym were nice amenities.

"Great location. You get what you pay for. "
Oldish but selectively renovated hotel. The staff is top notch and very friendly. Our room end tables were dusty and there was an oldish, think grandmas house, bed spread on the bed. Oldish carpet. No bad smells but it isn't a well renovated hotel.

For starters, you can’t miss the University of Quebec Montreal. The school has given rise to bookshops, late-night cafes, and lived-in pubs. The Latin Quarter is also home to the biggest LBGT-friendly area of the city. Falling mostly along the rue Saint-Catherine, this section of the city is the site of the annual Montreal Pride Celebration.

The biggest attraction of town is the Grand Bibliotheque. This massive library is home to thousands of tomes and archives. It’s common to see both students and locals relaxing in the aisles with a good book in hand. The Cinematheque is another popular spot in the neighbourhood. Founded in 1963, the Cinematheque is a movie conservatory, with dozens of preserved films. There are often public showings for visitors--though keep in mind, most movies are shown in French.
