"Nice hotel in a charming part of town"
We loved our stay at the St. James. All of the staff, from the valet to the reception desk were efficient and warm. The location was great, walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants and beautiful architecture and pleasant walks can be easily had immediately outside the hotel. Old Montreal offers lots of dining options and rivals Quebec City for European charm.

Large room and enormous, contemporary bathroom. Comfortable bed and lux linens. With just 30 rooms the staff are attentive and greet guests each time they go thru the libby. Wish they included breakfast in the room charge.

"Wonderful hotel in Old Montreal"
L'hotel is a wonderful, comfortable hotel located in Old Montreal. The purpose of our visit was to have a couple of relaxing days walking around Old Montreal, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. L'Hotel was the perfect location to stay with its beautiful rooms, tall windows and wonderful art on display. We walked for hours, enjoying the sights and sounds. The shops in Old Montreal are all dressed for Christmas and we spent several hours exploring them and discovering unique items at a wide range of prices. There's lots of quaint restaurants in the old city and we enjoyed just relaxing with a hot bowl of soup, warm bread and a glass of wine at several of them.

"Excellent location"
Perfect location if you are interested in visiting Vieux Montreal and Chinatown. We also took the subway from Station Victoria which was extremely convenient. This hotel is well maintained, clean and staffed with friendly, helpful people. It met every expectation that we had and then some. I imagine some rooms have excellent views. Our view (room 1513) was just "okay." Not a big problem though: we were hardly in the room. Note: If you drive a large vehicle (such as our Tahoe), you will not be able to park in the Intercontinental garage. We parked across the street in the convention center and it was absolutely fine. Also, we were really surprised by the pool hours. It closes at 7:30pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends. Extending the pool hours would be greaty appreciated.

Hotel Nelligan

"Great hotel in old town"
I stayed in the Nelligan while on business in Montreal and wanted to stay somewhere with a bit of interest. The hotel is situated in an interesting part of the old town with lots of great attractions nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was large and comfortable. The only downside was my room faced on to the alley behind the hotel and it got very noisy in the early morning when the garbage truck came through, this is the only thing I would fault during my stay, otherwise it is a great little boutique hotel in the old town.
