The hotel is quiet and in a great location for restaurants and the metro (we were there to attend the Formula 1 race). It is chicly decorated and attractive. The bed was comfortable and there was no hallway noise. Breakfast was good.
And now for the many downsides of staying here--far too many for a hotel that prides itself on service: 1) the room was never cleaned properly: there was a makeup smear on the bathroom door from a prior tenant, floors weren't vacuumed while we were there and the glass topped bedside tables were never cleaned. 2) a prior review stated safes were not working; that is still the case; 3) gym: there were no wipes (again, remarked on by a prior reviewer)!! The towels were not replenished over 4 days, leading me to wonder if the gym was cleaned on a regular basis.4) Maybe the worst issue was a housekeeping request we made of the manager on our way out one morning to have the sofa bed made up and extra hangers delivered; we returned 8 hours later to find nothing had been done. 5) The bill: I was charged for three different items that were not mine. One actually wasn't listed on the bill, but I checked my credit card carefully when I got home and found a separate charge. It took several days to straighten this out over email.
