My family enjoyed our stay, we felt safe, the room was fairly clean, staff was friendly. For the price, I feel that we got our money worth. The pool was closed for a few days while we were there, so we were a little disappointed by this.
Not the greatest hotel, but it's got all the basics you need such as good wifi, nice bed, bathroom, shower, and it's warm. It's also nearby Chinook Centre too. So if you're looking for something basic, I'd recommend this hotel.
Hotel was a little difficult to get to as it shares a driveway with a hotel directly behind it. No underground parking so if it's snowing get up earlier to clean your car. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They responded quickly when we couldn't get the tv to work. No restaurant but only blocks ...
Nice, clean, comfortable hotel close to university. Nice location by the river! We were on the street side so a lot of traffic noise in the evening and throughout the night. We live in the country so of course this was more bothersome to us. Next time we would book other side of hotel away from street. ...
Warm welcome from a young gentleman at the counter. The Best Western Suites Downtown is central to many great restaurants. Free parking and breakfast is a bonus.
The staff was incredibly courteous kind and careful the hotel itself is a little older building but for the dollar per pound it's a great value I would recommend it to anybody that is looking to stay in Calgary
well Located downtown Calgary, I had a corner room suite which was amazing! the less positive is always have to ask for towels...they give only 2 towels to start so not much. The internet was really crappy this time, could not connect even if it said connected :(
Check in went smoothly. Decent underground parking, just a little tight to get around when there's heavy usage. Comfortable waiting area. Free breakfast was plentiful with good variety and lots of tables. Room of course the most important, and it was large and comfortable. The wind was strong at ...
The rooms were very clean. There was a nice sized fridge and microwave in the room. The towels were thick and plush. Nice to have an iron & ironing board. Close to the Foothills hospital where we needed to be the next day. Beds were a little on the hard side. Room temperature was comfortable. The ...

“The Big E,” also known as “Cowtown,” is home to a number of free and inexpensive attractions. Among these is: Prince’s Island Park, one of the most popular spots in town. Explore several hiking trails, fountains, and art structures throughout the grassy area. If you bring a raft and lifejacket, you can also paddle down the Bow River during the day. If you prefer a gentler ride, hike down to the calmer Elbow River. For things to do on land, head to Stephen Avenue Walk. Located downtown, this lively street often features music and art galleries along the route. One of the most popular activities in the city is July’s Stampede Week, the annual rodeo. Certain days are discounted for visitors, and children under the age of 6 can often get in free during the whole festival. Enjoy the famous pancake breakfasts before watching the biggest rodeo of the year.
When you’re finished with a long day of excitement, head back to your Calgary 2-star hotel and enjoy a sojourn into the hot tub, or a quick workout at the on-site gym. Enjoy free or low-cost parking, and call down to room service if you need a late-night snack.
