The food was great and the whole staff at the resort were polite, helpful and very friendly. The place is amazing!!

Great location, very good value. Room was represented as 500 sq. ft. seemed smaller. Also, represented to have a queen bed, but had a double. Valet and bell staff are terrific. Especially Alfrado.

Our family booked two rooms across these sister properties specifically for advertised accessibility, as members of our party suffer from cancer, severe kidney disease, mobility impairments, and pregnancy. What transpired was a systemic failure of basic hospitality, severe physical barriers, dangerous health hazards, and extreme negligence. Accessibility & Service Failures: Staff repeatedly refused reasonable accommodations for our elderly, mobility-impaired grandparents. Pool staff forced them into low lounge chairs they physically could not use and refused proper dining service. Basic drinking water was arbitrarily capped at two bottles per person, forcing severely ill guests to repeatedly navigate two flights of stairs to retrieve water for essential medications. Health & Safety Risks: I discovered shards of glass inside my food at the morning buffet. When notified, the culinary team performed a superficial check and failed to audit or remove the contaminated trays. Room service completely ignored explicit warnings regarding a severe gluten allergy, serving contaminated food directly to the plate. Furthermore, delayed check-in left our pregnant family member stranded in 90°F+ heat without air conditioning or water. False Advertising: Key amenities like Cilantro’s were closed without prior notice while charging full premium rates. Scheduled activities were abandoned, and shuttles ran only once per hour.

Me and my boyfriends first time in Mexico , Cancun and it was amazing the resort was veryyyyy clean ! Couldn’t believe it the food was mid some nights was good the only thing was there was never any reservations available for the other restaurants on the resort. There was always something to do the bartenders amazing Jose, Abram I believe , and the 2 young ladies at the front desk the day I checked in amazing the weather was amazing but overall definitely recommended !!!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula in Cancun. This was my second time choosing this hotel, and unfortunately, after this experience, I do not plan to return. The worst experience happened at the Steakhouse restaurant. When we arrived, the person responsible for seating told us that we had to wait approximately 20 minutes. Shortly afterward, another family with a child arrived and was told that a table was available, while we were still asked to wait. We were also traveling with a child, so watching another family being accommodated while we continued to wait made us feel that we were being treated unfairly and disrespectfully. Unfortunately, the situation became even worse once we were finally seated. We waited around 40 minutes and no one came to take our order. We even asked for a high chair for our child, and it was not brought to us. The attitude and lack of service were so noticeable that we felt as though the staff had been instructed to ignore us after the issue at the entrance. Whether that was actually the case or not, no guest should ever be made to feel this way at a resort of this size and reputation. When we finally ordered our steaks, we requested them well done. One arrived properly cooked, while the other was still very undercooked. In total, we spent approximately TWO HOURS just trying to have dinner. What should have been an enjoyable family dinner became an unnecessarily frustrating and disrespectful experience.
