Tulum Beach Vacations

The staff were some of the the most helpful and friendly people I have ever dealt with when traveling. This says a lot as I travel half the year. The food and drinks at the restaurants was wonderful. The one thing I will point out is that the hotel owners need to work on updating broken patio furniture and the hotel as a whole. For what they charge it really was sad to see the hotel looking worn out. Note: we had 4 villas (not really a villa more like room with deck) for 7 days and the air con did not work well in one of the villas. Power was out several times for long periods which meant no water either but we understand this can be typical in the area. The highlight besides the beauty of the area was the staff.

Located in a quiet sector with free parking across the road. Greeted at the reception area with a refreshing complimentary fruit juice. The room was clean and minimally nicely decorated. The private pool on the rooftop was a lovely touch when celebrating a birthday! Complimentary breakfast was delicious. MUST TRY THE AGUA CHILE & CEVICHE @ PIEDRA LADRILLO RESTAURANTE!!!

We stayed in August 2024 for my birthday. This was our 5th or 6th trip and unfortunately we will probably not return. Resort has stopped focusing on couples and has starting promoting large groups to book rooms. The resort isn't set up for this. Dining is delayed, staff is stressed (not enough of them to serve large groups plus other guests), more buffets than before, loud groups partying until late into the night/morning takes away from the chill, relaxing, quiet vibe the resort used to have. Staff and taxi drivers indicate the new manager (might not still be there 1.5 years later, maybe so) was running the resort into the ground for personal profit. We came here for our honeymoon in 2016 and loved it and went back several times. The last trip was so bad and noisy we were ready to leave early since the other people in our building thought nothing of blaring their music and talking on the phone until 3 and 4am in the common areas between rooms. The way the buildings are set up in this resort you walk into a common area and all the rooms in the building come off the common area. The problem is the rooms are very insulated between the rooms but not around the doors. Also because of the large open ceilings, stuff in the common areas echo. As the group was very large (probably 30 plus adults), our concerns were pretty much dismissed since they had rented out about 1/3 of the resort. The wait staff and kitchen staff and bar staff did the best they could.

first i want to state that i have stayed here on 3 other occassions during chirstimas holiday and my experiences have been oustanding. Unforntunately this time not so much. here were the unfavorable issues this time: breakfast was not included as it was the last 3 vsists. they gave you one option which based on the menu price was more expense than the yogurt listed which i chose. water stopped working
