"This hotel was by far the best of our trip! The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, the rooms were amazing, and the hotel had great amenities. We also loved the restaurant — there were so many great options, and the live music made the atmosphere even better. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning. Thankfully, it was nice enough outside that we could leave the windows and balcony door open. That being said, for a hotel without AC, it would be great to have screens on the doors and windows so you can enjoy the fresh air without worrying about bugs/animals getting in. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely stay here again!"

"We were able to check-in early as our suite was ready. Unfortunately there was a problem with the room, but since the hotel was fully booked there were no suites available and we were downgraded to a double for the night. We met with Maya, the Royal Scot's manager, the next morning and she informed us that she had been made aware of our situation the night before. She made available a larger suite which would be ready by 1 PM. Thank you to Maya and her excellent staff. This hotel is on a very quiet street, a block from both the B.C. "It was very centrally located with many restaurants nearby, including Chinatown. It was a bit frustrating that there was only one person at reception when checking in and he was on the phone for ages and wouldn’t even acknowledge me. Just said afterwards that he was the only one at reception. I was anxious as our car was parked in front of hotel and I needed to know where the parking was. But he was very helpful once he came off the phone, and all was forgiven! There were a selection of teabags in room but no kettle for hot water. An excellent coffee maker was provided though. And there was coffee and fruit provided at reception. Room was spacious (king room) and bathroom with heated floor and excellent shower. Though I couldn’t understand the concept of having a microwave but no plates or cutlery. I felt the hotel, though centrally located and with some good facilities, was expensive for what it provided, especially since there were no breakfast facilities."

"We had a king room with a harbour view while we celebrated our anniversary. It was a good location with a lot of sites within walking distance. Staff were very nice. The heating/cooling system within the room 225 was very loud and sounded like a plane landing in our room. Parking costs $30 a night and a complimentary dessert from the hotel restaurant cost us a $18 service charge to be delivered to our room."
