So glad we decided to stay here!Posted 8-Oct-2017
We were debating between staying here or an Airbnb for 3 nights and we’re so glad we stayed here! Barb and staff were really great and super friendly. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to each day. We loved the pastries and sodas that were available any other time of day. Barb even made a chocolate cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had the executive queen room with a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom, including robes. The location was great for walking to dinner, Granville Island (plus a ferry ride) or even gastown for a longer walk. And it was convenient having a parking space for our rental car for the longer trips. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much!

West End Cottage was a jewel in the middle of its Vancouver neighborhood, easy walk to various sightseeing locations but the best part was the breakfast, gorgeous to the eye and yummy to eat . Loved the artwork and interior rooms as well.

Terrific B & B in a great locationPosted 26-Sep-2017
Pros: The friendly and warm staff, especially Barbara the on site manager.
Cons: How does one improve on excellence?
Location: Terrific restaurants, Coal Harbour and Stanley Park are but a short walk from West End B @ B.
We recently stayed at the West End Bed & Breakfast on our first trip to Vancouver. We were greeted by very friendly staff and while way too early to check in, they took our bags and offered us coffee and muffins before we went on our way to explore Vancouver city. All West End staff had this warm and friendly attitude and it continued for the remainder of our stay. Our room was very comfortable with good amenities. There was a guests kitchenette available with tea, coffee, hot chocolate available at any time as well as some yummy muffins or biscuits tha had been made by Barbara earlier that morning. Breakfast was served each morning for all guests, ensuring an enjoyable and vibrant experience due to the cross cultral make up of the visitors. The breakfast was plentiful and of excellent quality. The location was quiet and within easy walking distance to downtown Vancouver, including Coal Harbour, Canada Place, Gastown and Stanley Park. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Bed @ Breakfast.

Beautiful, old home in great locationPosted 28-Aug-2017
Cons: They should have a no-smoking sign on the front porch. One guest smoked there and it came through our upstairs bedroom. It only occurred once.
Location: We walked along the harbourfront, biked through stanley park and enjoyed the shopping and eateries surrounding West End Guest house
We loved our short stay at the West End Guest House. It was easy to find, easy to park, was in the perfect location and was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing - poached pear, health shot, chorizo, eggs, veg, toast and fresh baked goods. The bed and sheets were incredibly comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here!

Enjoyable stayPosted 4-Aug-2017
Really enjoyed staying at this lovely B&B in a perfect location to explore Vancouver. Breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere lovely. My only complaint is no A/C for those hot summer days...staying in the top floor rooms.

Great location. Beautiful homePosted 28-Jul-2017
Cons: Beds, much too soft
Location: can walk anywhere in the downtown area.
The only item I would change is the foam mattress on the beds. This mattress makes the beds much too soft and therefore uncomfortable. The breakfast was exquisite. thanks,

Convenient locationPosted 19-Jul-2017
Pros: The food for breakfast was fantastic. The location was superb. The house was super inviting for guests.
Cons: I don't know if there is anything that absolutely needs attention, but the bathroom and shower was a bit small.
Location: It was close to Stanley Park and the hop on hop off bus. Robson street was a block away and one can spend a day visiting. Whistler was great as well
This B&B is close to heart of the town and close to Stanley Park. Barbara is a good host with caring attitude towards her guests. My wife is gluten sensitive and she made special muffins for her in the morning and special cookies for her at night. The breakfasts made by the staff is freshly made and with expertise. There was a 3 course breakfast every morning with a hot entree. This is generally better than most one would expect from a B&B. I think the rooms are a bit older, but refurbished. The grounds are beautiful with blooms from nearly every plant surrounding the compound. It was very quiet even for a place that is so close in to town. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly, and appreciated the friendly and helpful staff.

Very friendly. Excellent location.Posted 12-Jul-2017
Pros: Convenience and easy access. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed.
Cons: The rear patio is now under reconstruction.
Location: Visit Granville Island, English Bay, Stanley Park and the sea wall, the Aquarium, shops on Robson.
This restored old house is very comfortable, serves a very good cooked breakfast and provides snacks, sherry and soft drinks. The bed was very comfortable and our room (#8) had its own entrance and a small kitchen. The house is well located for walking to Stanley Park and the Granville Island ferries. There is free parking behind the house off the lane. The hostess (owner) and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The house is near many restaurants on Robson and Denman Streets.
