This hotel has rooms with 3 beds which was very important to us travelling with teenagers. The balconies overlook the beach and the sunsets. We saw whales from the rooftop pool. Try the chocolate banana crepes at breakfast- so good! The area is very fun and picturesque and just a short walk to the Malecon.

Loved this little boutique hotel. You walk off the property and the beach is just steps away. They provide a nice complimentary breakfast. Pool is located on top of the building with a fantastic view of the ocean the city scape. Easy walk to the Malecon and several small restaurants very close to the hotel. We felt safe walking around the area exploring all the shops and galleries. If you like to gamble they have a great small Casino within walking distance of the hotel. We are planning another trip for October and we will definitely be staying at the Grand Paramar.

Property is in walking distance to the beach. The beach is a bit rocky and small.. There's better sandy beaches if you willing to travel bit. Breakfast in the morning is amazing.. There's a sections of room located at the back of the hotels that has no view except an open lot.. otherwise had a beautiful stay..

My room was spacious with a gorgeous ocean view, a spacious balcony to sit and enjoy the crashing waves, and so conveniently located. And the staff was super nice. My only negatives were tiny ants in the kitchen and the shower door didn’t keep water out of the bathroom, requiring a giant towel to sop up the water dripping out.

Very nice property. We got the biggest room in the hotel which was huge. Very close to Malecon and the El Barracuda next door is awesome. Beach sort of ho hum and no TP in toilets a drag but otherwise we loved it here. Breakfast also ho hum - probably better to eat off site. Rooftop bar was good though with amazing shrimp cocktail. Everything super clean.

This is an older building but it is a very well maintained property. The staff members were very accommodating. The kitchenette was well equipped. Keep in mind the breakfast is only served from 8-10am and the pool is not heated. I would stay again if in the area.

We loved this hotel and will be coming back here for sure. It's a boutique, so no hounding of timeshare pitches! It was very conveniently located, great view from our room and we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The beach was just steps from the lobby. Breakfast was perfect, not extravagant, but enough to get you going for the day til lunch. The two things that weren't great, that others have mentioned, was that you can't flush toilet paper in the toilet, so that took a little getting used to. We did find that to be the case at a few restaurants on the Malecon also. The other thing was that the bar across the street played loud music until 1am or so. Prices of everything was good. Pool service was very nice. The pool was a little chilly!

The property is lovely, the staff are very helpful and accommodating, and you are just a short drive/inexpensive taxi ride to the beaches. This property is a gem and we will definitely stay here again.

This was a very spacious room, clean, and had a big balcony overlooking the ocean. The pool area was awesome, and the food and drinks were great. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff was friendly.

This is a pleasant hotel. But for what we paid, over $350 Canadian per night, I would have expected more. We had a city view room, rather dark, with a squeaky older mattress. The room could have been cleaner. On the positive side there was a nice hot breakfast on a patio, a nice pool deck, and the staff were friendly.

While the location of the hotel is great; everything is within walking distance. We stayed in a premium suite, 208. The bathroom sink had a leak and smelled like sewer. The television would only connect to the internet in the morning to be able to watch Netflix. It’s very noisy during the night time. the beach is very rocky which my kids disliked. Our stay was during winter season but the pool was also very very cold. Again, location is great. Rooms are just a bit outdated, and a bigger tv would be nice.

Location was great. Having a balcony was great. Service - staff virtually live there to serve you even on holidays, so I am very grateful. Having a map to hand out and show directions where to go, where to take the bus, where to eat, etc would be helpful. Having to go down to get cold water and coffee was a little inconvenient. You may think about just having instant coffee packets in the room. Hot tub access limited to certain suites, not for everybody. All in all I would stay again though. Its a good deal, esp last minute and over a major holiday. Hotel is better suited for long vacations, however, i.e. two weeks or longer

This was my worst hotel experience in my life. I booked a room thru expedia for new years weekend and was a room for up to 4 people. I check in alone. I left and came back after a shift change and 1 person is left for the night and hes new and never saw me before. He catches me entering thru lobby and stops me. After looking up the room hes saying i have others in my room that are checked in and over the 4 limit. The guy was sweating allot and was not backing down, would not call the manager and wanted me to come back 10am to talk to the manager about it. I had to call expedia and try to get relocated. Expedia left me stranded at 1am wothout a room and not willing to relocate me after being lied to by the hotel guy that he has me recorded checking in with other men and said all their signatures are on the checkin form. Both were lies, confirmed by the manager the next day that only my signature was on the form and she watched the video of the lobby checkin and i was alone, nobody in the room, no signatures or names other than mine. The manager came in the next day to talk to me about this on her day off after the next front desk shift started and they called her about the problem. She said the guy has been with them 10 days and not going to be there anymore. I had to pay for another hotel that night. Never could i believe this would happen and crazy expedia would leave me stranded in mexico 1am with no wifi out on the street with no room with being denied relocation.

The hotel was nice overall, and the staff was friendly. Sadly, when we were out, the housekeepers went through our bags and took a ring. Still, the rest of our stay was good.

Paramar Beachfront Hotel is in a great location for us. We did not want to be in the middle of the Malecon fun, and we like to walk, so it was just a short 5 - 10 minute walk to the Malecon, and we were also able to enjoy the quainter restaurants near the hotel. The staff was amazing as was the view from our room and pool/rooftop. The breakfast is awesome as well! I almost don't want to write this as do not wish for others to discover this gem, but the staff deserve it.

What a nice gem! Directly across from the beach and a mile from the Malecon. Rooms are clean and basic (no flushing toilet paper though) and service from all staff friendly and exceptional.

Well-appointed, guest-oriented hotel. Steps from the beach. Secure parking. Friendly staff, mostly English speaking. Breakfast is tasty and included in the price. The pool and viewing area are amazing. We saw whales from the roof deck. Comfortable rooms with balcony. Reasonably priced even for high season. Would recommend.
