"All was as to be expected in a compact central London basic room, but improvements could be: a small shelf on the side of the bed away from the wall. Had to put my case there to balance my phone. Not ideal. I was staying with partner and there was a shelf on one side of bed against the wall, but definitely room to allow a shelf on both. More places to hang clothes. Frosted window so wouldn't have to pull curtains when changing (was opposite the windows of another building). The air con pumped out air freshener which I'm not a fan of as allergic, was ok when turned off. Somewhere to put toiletries in the shower. Staff were great though and good place if you are prepared for basic."

"This is a super trendy hotel with a beautiful entryway, right off of Piccadilly Circus two escalators take you up into an immaculate reception styled like a chic nightclub with gorgeous gold stairs leading up to the bar. The problem? At the base of the escalators a sign indicates that for a step free entry you can walk through a nondescript door off to the side. Down several hallways and turns you find an elevator that will bypass the stairs. When accessibility is hidden behind doors that feel like a loading dock out of view of the glitz and glam of the entryway of the hotel it sends a subtle message: wheelchairs, rollators, walkers, and anyone using them or anyone who is unable to make it up ten steps is not part of the aesthetic of the hotel and should be hidden away. I use a walking aide (a cane) and also had a heavy small rolling suitcase with me and had to drag it around those hallways to get to the front desk. In the morning when I went for breakfast I was pointed down a bizarre staircase with no lift in sight to their glamorous restaurant. Is the restaurant not accessible or was accessibility not offered? Were it not for this I would have easily rated the hotel 5 stars. The staff is great, the hotel is clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. When I checked out a staff member happily helped me carry my suitcase down the stair case and escalator and all the way out the front door without being asked."

"What a treat of a stay after a long trip! We (four adults) spent the last few nights of a July multi-stop European trip here, and definitely saved the best for last! What initially led us here was the combination of central location and a rare available room having two queen beds. We went in blind with only hopes of it being a decently safe area, a clean room and cool air conditioning. As it turns out, we loved the non-touristy, safe, very "London" business neighborhood, the tube stop was just around the corner, and there was both a convenience store and a Whole Foods nearby to grab quick snacks. Our favorite part was the hotel itself - what a welcome sight at the end of a long day! From the beautiful front plaza entry area to the fantastic staff, it was always a treat to return. We happened to check in during the late afternoon period when wine and snacks were being offered on the veranda. What a welcome! If you're wondering how the A/C situation turned out - we appreciate a COLD room, and were pleased that our thermostat offered us the most comfortable nights of our trip! We spent a bit more than the least expensive hotels, but that small upgrade was definitely reflected in our stay. Had we stayed longer, I would have booked their afternoon tea at some point. Side note: While taking the trains/tube from Heathrow is totally doable and saves money, doing it with large luggage was rough. The hotel requested a car for the return trip. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!"
