"This hotel is a must stay especially with kids the pool and hot tub is excellent and to have live music playing while you swim is awesome. Makes sitting watching the kids very entertaining. The rooms were very clean. If you can get a balcony room it is well worth it. So cool to sit and watch the music. I will definitely be back worth the family."

Travelodge by Wyndham Hotel & Convention Centre Quebec City

Travelodge by Wyndham Hotel & Convention Centre Quebec City

"Not a lot of dining options in the area; limited menu in the onsite dining venue. We had dinner there but found the selections very limited for breakfast so did not eat there. Two things of note for our stay: The glass shower doors were not level and would not remain closed; I had to use one of the bath towels to try and stop it was opening, resulting in large puddle to be cleaned up. Bathrooms are "split" - i.e. small private shower and toilet room, with sink (extremely limited counter space) in the wardrobe area. Towels are in the sink area which was very frustrating. The other thing was that in the dining room, on the bottom of the glass windows, there were very large, dense cobwebs - obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while."

"Only problem was the very steep and long stairs to the 2nd ( really third) floor. It’s very narrow and hard to get a suitcase up. Ask for a room on a lower floor. Property was nice, great location and very clean. Would Recommend."

  • Take your pick of locales close to the popular features of town

If you want a vacation infused with history and a dash of luxury, Upper Town is the best place to stay.

Walk along the cobblestone promenades to view the centuries-old buildings and Gothic-style citadels. Don’t miss the Old Quebec section of town, which is home to the famous Cathedral-Basilica of Notre Dame de Quebec and the Chateau Frontenac. Look for the Citadelle and Place d’Armes as well—two spots that have long remained staples in the oldest neighbourhood in North America.

Grab a baguette and coffee to go and continue on some of the windy pathways that wrap around the famous Saint Lawrence River, which brought the French explorers to the area over four centuries ago. You’ll often find both locals and travellers alike picnicking by the water’s edge.

Book with Expedia.ca to find a hotel in the heart of this historic area. Many of these stone-structured hotels in Quebec City have retained the feeling of quaint antiquity, creating the perfect ambience of charm. Reserve one of these dashing rooms with a view at discounted rates equally as sweet.

Upper Town, Quebec City has been a staple of class and beauty since the 17th century. When you’re staring out of your hotel window at the river’s ebb and flow, you’ll understand why so many have flocked to this spot through the centuries, and why Upper Quebec remains a beloved spot of East Canada.
