The hotel was awesome and the pool area is amazing! The staff were very friendly and did everything they could to help us with anything we needed. Will definitely be staying there again next time we visit Quebec City.

I had higher expectations for this hotel based on the reviews I read. Unfortunately, we had to switch rooms three times, each with its own issues. The air conditioning was broken in the first room, and in the second, both the sink and toilet were clogged; this was only temporarily fixed after I contacted the reception. At night, we also noticed the smell of marijuana, which prompted yet another room change. The final room on the fifth floor was much better, although the pool odor was a downside. Despite these challenges, our stay became memorable thanks to the exceptional staff, particularly Saeed. Additionally, be aware that there is significant construction in the area, which can make commuting a bit difficult. One more observation: during the room changes, I was surprised to find that most hotels provide only the bare minimum amenities in the rooms allocated for Expedia guests.

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Plaza Quebec and had a good experience. On the positive side, the pool was absolutely fantastic! The temperature was very warm, about 85 degrees Fahrenheit to my understanding—warm enough to be comfortable but still refreshing. It was a delight to take a dip after a long day of sightseeing. The pool area was clean and well-maintained, making it a great spot to relax and unwind. On the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, there was a live music played by local singers. Also, with the decor and at night when the pool lights comes on in the atrium, visually the pool area looked great. However, I was quite disappointed with the check-in time. A 5pm standard checkin time, especially for travelers who arrive early and are eager to settle in. It felt like we lost a significant part of our day waiting to get into our room. I hope the hotel considers adjusting this policy to better accommodate guests’ needs. With out being able to accomodate an earlier checkin and a standard checkout of 11am, a person is paying full price 6 hours of stay if travelling only for 1 night. Overall, while the pool was a highlight of our stay, the late check-in time was a definite downside.

The hotel was very interesting: masquerade theme of the room's decoration, unique tropical garden set-up around the indoor pool with towering glass roof and interior rooms with balconies overlooking the pool. Major road contraction was a bit inconvenient but handled with good signage. All staff were bilingual and mostly very helpful.

Only complaint was noise in the hallway during nap time in the afternoon; loud talking by staff doing repair work close by. Really good breakfast, reasonably priced. Nice lobby, with balcony to sit above the pool for coffee or drinks. Road construction wasn't much of an issue.

Our room was not cleaned properly and after asking to change to another room they kept making excuses and no compensation was provided. At that point we were tired of calling and explaining and complaining and just wanted to leave from there

The room was exactly as pictured, it was spacious and had all the needed amenities and the bed was pretty comfy but the it had a humidity smell and the tv remote didn’t work. The pool area is gorgeous 😍. Also there's tons of construction in the area which makes it tricky to get to the hotel.
