"Top notch midtown"
Wonderful hotel. Perfect for Bizz travel. Old school amenities aplenty. Very attentive staff. Nice rooftop terrace and bar. Relaxing spa. Very Formal, felt a bit out of place w just shorts and a T at times.

"Mini Bar was crazy expensive! But, great hotel!"
Mini Bar was insane expensive! Tiny bottle of scotch was $140. Room was clean and luxurious. Pool was nice and view was cool. Close to a lot of great stuff

"Nice hotel close to the port for cruise "
Very nice hotel. Complimentary wine that Saturday evening. Make sure to ask early in the day if the rooftop lounge has a private party. The day we visited it was booked. Besides that the area is very walkable and there are many great restaurants in the area.

"Beware: some rooms are shared rooms"
I had a good stay at the hotel, it's new, clean, modern and sufficiently centrally located. Nice set-up with a sort of courtyard and with a gym. I had booked it via Expedia, and to my surprise the room I booked turned out to be a shared room with 2 strangers. When booking the room this had not been clear to me at all. So I ended up paying 3x the price I booked it for initially, in order to have it changed into a private hotel-room. That was a big set-back to me and customers should be aware of this.

"Perfect location for a long weekend in the city!!"
Everything exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival we had planned to stow our luggage with the bell men and start our day. But Ling at the front desk had other plans. Our room was ready and waiting for us. We were able to settle in before beginning our adventure. The very first encounter set the whole stage for an amazing mother daughter trip. Our Room was clean, large, comfortable and quiet. It was the perfect place to recharge. We will visist again.

"Great location across from Central Park"
We had requested "early check in, no feathers or down on the bed (allergies), and mentioned we were celebrating our 40th anniversary!" We called before leaving home,(1/2 hour drive), to check if room was ready; they said it would be ready in an hour (which would have been 2:00). We arrived at 2:30 and could not get into our room until 3:50. Our bed had feather pillows and down comforter; we waited over an hour for bedding change. Our "welcome beverage" of ice tea never came! We did receive a complimentary bottle of bubbly with a lovely note from management congratulating us on our anniversary. I can recommend, although we have stayed at other NYC hotels with much larger rooms and great location, and less expensive, and breakfast, lunch restaurant (instead of room service only).

"very nice hotel stay"
I really like Kimpton Hotels and this one is no exception. the restaurants in the lobby were fantastic and the service in the restaurants and hotel overall was excellent. the room was fabulous. It was a little difficult both checking bags in the lobby and retrieving them, as there is no bell captain station. I had to find one of the bell staff in the lobby both times. I had to just wait in the lobby until one came by. Also, I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel to order room service because the room phone didn't work (all extensions just rang as busy). Other than these minor items, it was an excellent stay and I would definitely return.
