Days Inn Brooklyn - Brooklyn Hotels

Days Inn Brooklyn

437 39th Street, Brooklyn - Map
"Great room for a reasonable price"
The Days Inn in Brooklyn is only a few blocks from the subway, making it easy to reach everything in the NYC area for a low price. Compared to most hotels in the area, the price was very reasonable and was the main selling point in choosing to boom the room. It's very hard to stay anywhere up there for less than $100 a night, unless you want to be further away from the city, or in a hostel. The staff was friendly and allowed us to leave our baggage at the hotel for a full afternoon after 11am checkout. We were very happy with the room and highly recommend the Days Inn to other traveler's on a budget.

"Nice hotel, close to Time Square and subways. "
Enjoyed the stay, wasn't in the room much, as expected. Nice place to relax, unwind, shower, and sleep. Liked that we could just step out our door for some fresh air and a smoke. Shower pressure, fridge and microwave in the room was great.

"Hidden Gem"
This lovely hotel literally hidden in Union Square was perfect. The staff was so friendly and the room, albeit small, was clean, decorated so lovely and had everything we needed. So cute!

"Relaxing design hotel"
This high design hotel has really big rooms by New York standards and lots of lovely features (such as the free tea and coffee, snacks and wine hour) that feel a bit more special than other places. The staff were really helpful and relaxed without being overwhelming. Located a bit away from the midtown hype but really well located for several subway lines and with a number of good bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. I'd definitely go back!

The Kimberly Hotel & Suites

145 E 50th St, New York - Map
"Beautiful hotel, nice stay"
We spent a great weekend at the Kimberly. Our room was a one-bedroom suite on an upper floor and was both beautiful and quiet (a little street noise, but not much - for New York - and little to no noise from within the hotel, either). Service was for the most part assiduous. Loved the fish tank in the lobby too! Our only problem involved room service - a room service dinner took more than an hour to arrive and almost made us late for the opera Saturday night. It took several phone calls to finally get the meals which arrived luke-warm and missing some elements. I think an event in the rooftop bar was the source of the problem (the kitchen was very busy). I hate to kvetch given it was a lovely stay, but it made for a stressful evening, unfortunately. Nonetheless I'd stay here again, but might make other arrangements if under time pressure for meals.

"I loved the Jane Hotel!"
The staff at the Jane were so friendly and helpful. Not so much at the cafe on site---long wait for service and one coffee arrived, the other 30 minutes later. But the hotel staff are wonderful---this is a huge bargain in NYC!!!!!
