I reserved the room I wanted with two double beds and a nice view months ago. When I got there I had to wait an hour to check in to find out they were overbooked and they didn’t have my room available. They stuck us in a room with one bed and a dismal view of a roof and ac units. I’m so disappointed and this was so expensive I’m really unhappy.

I didn’t check in because you overbooked your hotel, requiring me to have to go somewhere else. Scum bags.
2nd time staying here. Very good location. Nice hotel. Wish there was some seating in the lobby to wait other than the lobby bar. Busy elevators this week with 3,000 high school students staying for the model UN conference.
Said they overbooked and didn’t have a room despite reserving and paying in full over a month ago, also didn’t notify in advance. Did get moved to another hotel but still!!!! Were not apologetic

The hotel is ...just okay. If you don't have to stay here for a conference or a large group trip, there are other options in the neighborhood that are likely better.
Be prepared to pay exorbitant prices for the mediocre breakfast buffet ($50) and the cash and carry market there ($9 for a bottle of water, $8 for a small cookie, $16 for a small breakfast burrito.) The rooms are on the smaller side and haven't been renovated in a while. Mine was very worn down.
Drinks at the two bars are also extremely high priced, even by Manhattan standards. Also, dining options at the bars are very limited.
The staff is very nice and professional.
