This is a recently refurbished hotel, but somehow you feel that is not completely finished or is still in the works, as there are noises all over the place, some areas still looking old and there was a very annoying buzzing in our room all day long. In general terms, except from the staff which was really great all the time (which compensates for a lot!), this Thomson Hotel was not at the level we expected. Incredibly enough, the last one we stayed at (San Antonio, TX), was much more impressive.

Just returned from a 4-night stay at The Thompson Central Park. Our room was fantastic- a suite with king bed and living room with pull out bed. Sofa converts into a sectional couch which was great for breakfast & relaxing. More space than most nyc apartments! Amazing location. Fresh & Co. and Le Pain Quotidien are both a 2 min walk. Amazing healthy breakfast options & delicious pastries. We did a breakfast run every day during our stay. Drinks & snacks in the lounge were great as well as live jazz on Thurs night. 5 min walk to literally everything (Central park, Rockefeller, Subway line etc). Would absolutely stay here again for work or pleasure!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful. I felt safe, the room was well appointed, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the Thompson and I look forward to staying there again.

My family of 4 stayed in one of the Upper Stories King Suites and it was wonderful! The private lounge for Upper Stories guests was wonderful and we utilized it multiple times a day. The room was clean and had nice storage options for our family. Will definitely stay again!
