Great hotel, great staff and a great safe family friendly location. Having a 9 and 10 year old we spent a bit more to get a suite which proved to be brilliant as the kids had somewhere to chill having had a long day touring the sites of NYC. Got the Skytrain, then LIRR straight from JFK to Grand Central and an easy 7 minute walk up lexington Av. to the hotel. Kids loved the New York luncheonette Diner next door also. Special shout out to Housekeeping and can't recommend enough. Thanks everyone.

Had an issue with getting bit. But I don’t make a big deal out of things when traveling. The room was a suite, as promised. It was like having two BIG rooms tied together. That was helpful. There was also a balcony which was useful. Property is nicer than the website shows. I was surprised at how they’ve kept it up.

We enjoyed this elegant traditional hotel. The room was big and beautiful (except for the bathroom but we survived just fine). It was nice having a living room off the kitchenette where we could have morning coffee and plan our days. We ate in all three restaurants and each one was wonderful. Empire steak house was fantastic, like going back in time to sit in huge velvet banquettes and enjoying gorgeous martinis, incredible steaks, and being surrounded by old fashioned elegance. The small restaurant on the first floor (can't remember the name) was also very god. Every dish available gluten free and the service was fantastic. Breakfast on the rooftop was a great way to enjoy the view on a beautiful spring day. We walked everywhere and the location was easy to get around. I highly recommend!
