First I'll start with the positives. Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. We did not receive the welcome cocktail upon arrival. The room was very spacious and clean. I guess due to covid, there was no mini bar, coffee maker, or liquors in the room. Several staff were very good in their jobs. Maxine at the bar near Crickets, Jason at the buffet, Dwayne at the steak restaurant, and Gary at the bar near the Waves restaurant. Food was good as you would expect at an all inclusive.
Now the negatives. We asked several days to have the room made up between 10am and noon. The room was only made up 1 day that we were there and it was done at 1:30 in the afternoon. This was the first resort that we have stayed at that did not honor our request. Unacceptable. We had to call the customer relations to get more bottled water. We ate at the Pelican Grill 1 afternoon for a light fare. We ordered chicken wings and nachos with chili beef. Both orders arrived in about 10 minutes and both were barely even warm. Another thing that was missing was seating around the bars. You would have to go and order a drink and try and find a place to sit. The spa tubs were not working properly and not quite as warm as a heated pool. The signs stated no persons under age 16 in the spas, yet there were several small children in the 1 spa. Consequently the spa was closed for 2 days. There was staff right there and no accountability. There were no towels on the beach, you had to get them at the pool
