I can't say enough about this resort. Hands down one of the best in negril. The staff is so wonderful! Since we've been here 3 times, we've now become family. Cleand beaches, breathe taking views and hreat food. A great place to relax and enjoy everything the sea has to offer.

The staff at Riu are fantastic! Even though they work so hard to make us feel happy, they still have the greatest smile on their faces, always joking and saying kind words. The Jerk chicken Hut or the beach was my favourite food. Always juicy, delicious and cooked to perfection. The beach is fantastic and the water just perfect. Our whole trip was amazing.

My husband and I had an excellent week at this resort. The employees were friendly and helpful. I especially note Beverly at the front desk and Shana in the dining hall. The food was good, although my husband did not enjoy his steak at the Steak House, and we considered the delicious lobster tail that I had a much better option. Many employees throughout the facility work hard to maintain the property. The beach is incredible and the main reason we come back to Negril.

Lovely resort right in the beach. Not too big and you can even go over to the other Riu resort down the beach and eat there too with your all-inclusive bracelet. The beach is AMAZING. Drinks are great, food is good overall. Highly recommend reserving a dinner at the Steak House- our favourite of the restaurants there. Staff were always helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The beach is definitely the highlight - beautiful, clean, and perfect for relaxing. However, areas around the trees need some maintenance, as there were rocks and small branches that should be cleared. The property is a bit dated but very well kept. Service was inconsistent—some staff were friendly and engaging, while others seemed less attentive. Adding benches around the property would be a great improvement, both for enjoying the beautiful sunsets and especially for guests with mobility issues. The buffet was very good, but the specialty restaurants were disappointing and need improvement in both service and food quality. Overall, a great location with strong potential, but some areas could use attention to enhance the experience.

I was so pleased with Hotel Riu Palace. The room was nice and large with a balcony facing the ocean, The buffet was huge and had so many delicious choices. It also has 4 small restaurants (must reserve 2 days in advance) that were intimate with wonderful food. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The bars were numerous (loved the "swim up" bar!). They even had a free minibar in the rooms, which is pretty much unheard of. My only complaint is there is no elevator. We were on the 3rd floor, so multiple trips up and down the stairs was not ideal. That is my ONLY complaint!

Rooms were dated, housekeeping was really good, drink service at beach was sub par or non existent. Front desk was helpful and bar staff were fun. Buffet was good but specialty restaurants ok. Property was very clean. The oddest thing were the beds. Instead of a king, there were 2 full size beds pushed together. I felt like I was falling in a hole all night. The beds were made up with 2 sheets per bed, no comforter.
