The pool was cold all the time. The music on the adult side was the same all the time. The Blue Team would leave and it would be the same stuff or nothing so it was boring over there. We went to the steak house and they served us instant mashed potatoes. That is not what I expect at a 5 star resort. We felt that as African Americans we were ignored a lot by the staff. While waiting at the lobby bar members or our party were outright ignored while they served others that had just walked up. The first room we were put in was dirty. Tub wasn't cleaned, the mirror on the back of the door was missing. We almost missed our flight bc they wouldn't let members of our party check out b/c they kept saying they had a charge which was incorrect. It was a nice place but we won't be going back.

Overall I would say this is Hotel was pretty good. They changed the Dynamics of all-inclusive resorts. Starting with the restaurants there were about 12 different restaurants if you include the Jamaican grill. All of which had different styles of food that were very tasteful. They also had a coffee shop which was very nice a piano bar which was beautiful a teen Lounge a disco for adults and a bowling alley and casino which I've never seen on a resort before. I thought that was a game changer. Overall I would give this Resort a solid 4 stars. However there were a few things that I think could have been improved such as the water activities. When I go on vacation some of the things I like to do are the things I don't normally do at home such as some of the water activities like paddleboarding, canoeing, and sailing. So for the water activities there was a charge $30 per day to sail for 30 minutes and you had to sell with one of the instructors.

We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation than we received at Ocean Eden Bay. The facilities were nice and clean, the pool was so fun and had great vibes. The staff from start to finish was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. Extra special shout outs to Mellonie, Samantha, Carl-Michael, Jason W, Sonya, and Trey for their attentiveness and kindness at the pool and lobby bars plus the constant entertainment provided by Kiash and the rest of the blue team at the pool and in the evenings with the reggae band. The fun never stopped and I can’t wait to go back here. Thank you so much Oceans!!!! My only recommendations to people coming are to pack some water-friendly shoes (because near the shore the beach is rocky and it’s easier to get out into the soft sand if you have a pair of shoes) and to get out to the pool early because the seats and cabanas fill up fast.

the property was clean and safe. staff was kind and caring. the dining options were enough with good qualities for one week. the entertainments were also appropriate and sufficient. I do recommend paying attention to dates and times of you book anything with a tour agency or anyone in jamaica. loved my stay and defintely recommend this place.
