Sunset at the palms is a beautiful resort. This is the place to go if you are looking to relax. The staff could not be more friendly. We went in late Jan.2023 and returned in Mar. 2023. Good food, Nice beach. This resort is NOT a "party resort". It has a jungle feel. The villa's are just big enough since staying in our room all day was not the plan. If you want to explore the area or attractions the resort will get you there and back. I recommend calling the resort to book private transportation from and back to the airport. Nice vehicles, no others with you, and no stops unless you ask the driver to stop at a store for supplies. The driver even went in with my wife to help her with purchases. I will not "nit pick" about the very minor things you can see at any place you stay. Bottom line is - They treat us like family and we will return again AND again.

This was the third resort where I have vacationed in Jamaica. In comparison, my stay was okay. I chose it because of the treetop-style rooms which were beautiful but I doubt if I would return to this property again. The beach closing at 6-7 pm everyday, the inconsistent and lack of food options and the staff not always being accommodating within reason got in the way of me truly enjoying the resort. For example, to have paid for an all-inclusive stay, I wanted to take some breakfast before I left for my flight home and was told by kitchen staff with a shrug that there were no to-go containers and then they walked off. Another was the lack of inclusive water activities on the beach was disappointing. When I was interested in trying one, the person to sign up was either not there or I was told by the workers to come back in a few hours. Perhaps it was just my experience as others seemed to be enjoying themselves and the accommodations made by the property.

We had a great time at this property and only rated it 4/5 because of the overall food choices and staff friendliness was not the normal level I receive at a property at this price point. The beach was AMAZING though and the food was very good (just not a lot of selection). The drink selection was just OK as well, no real top shelf choices, or imported options that I'm used to seeing at this price point. Overall, it was lovely and we truly enjoyed our time here. I will just be looking at other resorts in the future with more amenities.

My mom and I went to Sunset at the Palms looking for a quiet getaway and loved our time there! Staff are super friendly and professional, the private beach is serene and not crowded, and the grounds are lush and peaceful. Having stayed at different resorts in different countries over the years, we were impressed with having the comforts of an all-inclusive (good food and drinks, comfortable rooms, beachside service) without the hassle and sometimes nuisance of large hotel buildings full of people. It felt so great to retreat to your own little cabin at the end of the night after spending the day by the beach!

This is a low key property. But we had a amazing time. The staff super friendly. Christen was great she waited on us at the pool, beach and breakfast. We had a group of 12 people.

I read many reviews for SATP before arriving and I will just say that after being there for a week, I have nothing bad to say about this resort. I thought it was all amazing. The resort is a quiet more reserved place so if you are looking for a party, this is not the place. But there is some sort of entertainment each evening from a piano man to a reggae band and live music on the beach for the BBQ/bonfire on the beach. The staff was amazing, each one of them. The beach was spectacular and the walk across the road to the beach was no different than walking down to the beach from your room at a bigger hotel. Many people mention that they disliked the food in their reviews, I thought the food was fabulous, it’s a different country so the food is never going to be exactly what you are used to but I was more than happy with the food. The rooms are unique cute cabins in a forest like setting, very tropical. They are clean and no critters/ bugs in them. We loved it and will return next year.
