There’s no pools or hot tubs or smart tvs but guess what? We didn’t need any of that. They have a little dvd rental area which we used while staying there and we loved that."

"We had a wonderful family week-end in this beautifully decorated, super well equipped and very comfortable house !Plenty of space to accommodate the 6 of us with common areas to share time together (with a lot of board games available) and enough separate spaces to respect each other privacy. The kitchen has all you need to cook any kind of food, the bathrooms are super clean, the beds are all comfortable, the spa is spacious and the decks very well furnished. The outdoor offers plenty of space for any activities and a direct access to the trails !The description on Vrbo is accurate and communication with the hosts was smooth.Lots of fond memories were made there, we will be back soon !"

"We loved our stay in this cabin! It was perfect for our group of four adults. It was a great space to relax, work a puzzle, and play games. We enjoyed the outside patio and the nice breeze. We prepared several meals at home, and the kitchen was adequately equipped. There are also some great hiking trails nearby. We were there during a hot week with the highs in the 90s. I was concerned that we would be really uncomfortable and disappointed that there was no AC. But by opening up the house when it had cooled down every night, using the fans for airflow, and leaving it open until the morning, we were able to keep it cool enough.As others have stated, the driveway is steep. One of our low sitting cars scraped a little when pulling in or out of the driveway. There was a small issue with refrigerator leaking onto the floor. It didn’t seem to affect the performance fridge or freezer, although they were on the older side and had no water or ice dispenser. Customer service responded appropriately, and hopefully it is resolved now.I think it should also be noted that the entrance to the loft area is through the door of the master bedroom. So just beware of that if you’re planning to use that area as a sleeping area. We had an EV and a hybrid which we needed to charge. Using a long extension cord from the porch area down to the driveway, we were able to charge one vehicle at a time. We would stay here again, given the opportunity, especially in more moderate weather."

"We stayed here with a group of 6 adults and 4 kids and had a wonderful time in Idyllwild. The location is excellent, the house size was perfect for our large group, and we absolutely loved the beautiful views and outdoor space.However, we were quite disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance upon arrival. The house was very dusty and dirty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned or visited in a long time, and we had to wipe down most surfaces ourselves just to feel comfortable. A few of the pots and pans still had grease and stains on them. The downstairs room felt dark and uninviting, and we completely avoided using it after lifting the covers and having a bug fly out. Lastly, while we understand rodent traps are common in mountain properties, there was an exposed trap placed right in the main living area under a chair where our young kids were playing, which felt unsafe.We still managed to have a great family trip, but the poor upkeep when we arrived was definitely off-putting. With a deep clean and better attention to detail, this could easily be a 5-star property."
