The room door lock did not lock from the inside. You have to depend on the door locking from the outside. When we pulled the covers down to get into bed there were black hairs on the sheets. I slept on top of the bed. The hair dryer was broken, the TVs did not work, the fridge was barely cold. When checked in the front desk staff told us not to leave anything in the vehicle as crime in downtown Kamloops is high. If I knew this before we checked in we would not have checked in. Parking spaces too small for large trucks.

Even though it's not a new hotel, everything is in great conditions and clean. But the staff was amazingly nice! I hope the hotel takes good care of their employees because they do an awesome job!!

Don't let the pictures fool you! This hotel needs some serious TLC and renovating in order to be considered even a 3 star. Upon arrival, i had no idea where to park, as there is no designated parking. As my daughter and I walked with our luggage down the road to enter the hotel, I kept her close as it is in a rough part of town. I was then informed i jad to pay for parking up the road, $8 /night. The beds had to have been at least 25 years old, as they were concave, and if you dared to roll over the whole bed moved with you. Needless to say, we had no sleep. The carpet was disgusting, and probably out aged the beds by a decade.The front desk staff were at least pleasant, and the breakfast was decent. 2 stars, not worth the $250 we had to spend for one night.

We have stayed here a number of times and like it's old and quirky character. The staff are always friendly and provide good service. Parking is a little sketchy but they monitor it with cameras (they now charge for parking, which is new). The restaurant attached to the hotel is good and the staff are very attentive. Continued work on keeping the place clean and safe will keep us coming back.

Unique was the age and history of hotel. Overall the hotel looked old and well worn. Very small bathroom, mattress good but bed frame wobbly. Breakfast was somewhat disorganized with a line up of guests waiting on one lonely toaster. Guess we got what we paid for.

This is a really cool boutique Hotel and yea it's old but that's kind of the charm right? Anyway, we found access to the hotel not that bad just Kamloops has alot of 1 way streets. But I digress, the hotel was nice and clean and amazingly quiet. The breakfast was a nice surprise a was very good. My son really liked the hash browns. The only downside was parking, if you don't get into the free spots(not that many of them) you have to park on the street or in a pay parking lot about a block from the hotel. I think that is a common complaint from what I saw. Anyway we were only there 1 night. So all good not a bad spot for the price point.

This is a heritage building with lots of historical features saved. I have stayed a number of times and can see changes in the operation of this property. The staff are somewhat friendly but often speak to their front desk associates in another language while deciding what room to assign to you. Telling you they are giving you a room next to the elevator because you have mobility issue. The room was directly behind the elevator and could be clearly heard whenever it was in use. The plus is the hot breakfast that is offered.

The sheets, bathroom and general room was dirty. There were stains on the bedsheets, hairs on the bed, stains on the breakfast area tables etc. generally dirty and dusty, bathrooms were also not super clean.

Staff were pretty nice, not enough staff at front desk, person working. Needs a huge renovation, our bathroom doorknob was almost falling off, very shoty paint jobs. Definitely not done by a professional. I put a 2 for cleanliness, only because it was probably as clean as they could get it. No counter space in bathroom. The parking is the worst, there is only maybe 30 spots in the parking lot beside the hotel. Those fill fast. Their second lot is a block up the road, which is not great, trying to transport all your stuff. It’s an extra charge of $9 a day and no security. And is told to keep nothing in your car, as they have a big homeless/drug problem around there, as they are right downtown. I would NOT recommend this hotel!
