The only downside to our stay here was that we had to leave! We only had one night booked; our destination was on another part of the island. Even so, we were extended a warm welcome and spoiled by our hosts' generosity (and the view!). The building and its surroundings are lovely--beautifully maintained and the owners have clearly paid a lot attention to detail. All week we reminisced about this place and swore that we'd stay here for the duration of our next trip to the Big Island. Even...

This is a lovely B&B in a heritage home. The ocean was right outside my window and there was a lovely sitting area in the room. Breakfast was delicious, and the owners and managers were very kind. It is located just across the bridge from historic downtown Hilo, so it’s quiet but convenient for restaurants and shopping.

The breakfast was great! Kelly, the host, is very kind and helps with everything you need. We enjoyed staying and traveling around the area, ended up staying 6 nights exploring. Check out Awapuhi Labyrinth nearby for example.
We especially enjoyed the nightly jacuzzi floats under the stars and nature sounds. Very recommended for the great value for money.

This property was a great place to stay while visiting volcano national park and the surrounding area. The animals were really friendly and a joy to be around. Theresa greeted us when we got there and provided us with helpful information on things to see and do. The breakfast was amazing! We appreciated the many thoughtful touches like the heated blanket, heated towel rack, flashlight and umbrellas for visiting the park. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had an excellent 3 night stay at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. We chose it for its location on the Kona side of the island, but off of 'resort row'. After a very long travel day, it was wonderful to be welcomed Hawaiian style with a shell and kukui nut lei, fresh fruit juice and cold towels. We then were fortunate to be upgraded from a garden view room to an ocean view! Alo-ha!!! Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed to relax. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is wonderful, it's beyond our expectation, we had 2 bedroom suites, which was specious and comfort, love the amenities, but unfortunately we didn't have time to use any of them. I would recommend to stay here for at least five days.

Very cute rooms, lots of showers and bathrooms, everything smells good. Couple loud people closer to 11pm but manageable. Beds were comfy. Close to everything we needed
